Sweet Bakery Reviews
Their pastries are amazing! The flavor combinations are delectable... love everything I’ve tried. If you have the chance to do the weekend delivery box you will NOT be disappointed! This is the type of pastry I’d expect from high end patisseries or city bakeries, so good!
We got a few of their valentines treats & they were so good! Really happy with their customer service & how they handled the snow, too. We’ll definitely be trying more from them in the future.

Sweet Bakery is a charming, bright, and spacious Chinese bakery located on the corner across from Exit A of the International District/Chinatown light rail station. The shop features several shelves of baked goodies, a glass display with various treats, and a small sitting area with high stools and a window-side bar decorated with artificial plants. Customers appreciate the convenient charging station hidden among the plants. The bakery offers a good selection of breads, pastries, steamed buns, cakes, and light sandwiches, with most items priced between $3 and $4. The coconut pineapple bun can be heated upon request, and the prices are considered very reasonable, with some sets of mochi and treats available at lower prices. Drinks, such as coffee and hot chocolate, are also affordable, often cheaper than other places, and the service is polite, quick, and welcoming. The background music is Chinese music, creating a soothing and upbeat atmosphere. The bathrooms require a key from the front counter for access.
Reviews highlight the bakery’s consistent freshness, cleanliness, and overall good quality. Many customers praise the Mexican sweet bun, which is soft and melts in the mouth, and the hot chocolate, perfect for chilly days. The vanilla cream puffs receive particular mention for their sweetness and good pastry, while other offerings like red bean paste bread and pork floss bread are described as average. Some reviewers note that the bakery is still establishing its full menu, with limited options and occasional empty shelves, but overall, it’s a place worth visiting, especially for those nearby. The shop’s packaging and presentation are also praised, reflecting a focus on quality and care. Despite some mixed reviews regarding certain items and limited menu options, Sweet Bakery is regarded as a good, affordable spot for fresh baked goods in Seattle.
