The food and coffee was really good, I like the atmosphere too. One of baristas was really nice, but the other one with the microbangs who made my coffee was not very friendly throughout. Later I asked for the bathroom code and they said “one sec” and then proceeded to walk into the back and eat a sandwich in plain view lol. The other barista ended up telling me the code.
This was a great find when browsing the area for bfast early on a wkend. Tucked in ChopHouse Alley in Capitol Hill, I just happened to drop in early enough where long lines and noisy crowds were avoided. Service was great, pets are welcome, and everything was mostly self-serve with no tipping at the register - a nice relief esp when you're expected to bus and clean your own table. Super cute coffee shop in the back of an atrium. The cafe has good seating, but you can also sit out in the courtyard when the weather's nice. They used to have a bike shop in back, but it moved, though the bicycle theme persists.
