Everything was sub-par, from the moment we arrived until dessert. When we told the host we had a reservation, he turned his back on us and ignored us. After 20 minutes, I asked again and we were seated - no menus, no water and no waiter. We finally flagged down a waiter and were able to order, Our meal came in less than two minutes - obviously steam table. We had order spicy for several courses, but there was NO SPICE. Then, while we were still eating, a busgirl started to take away our dishes and food! Nothing was good, and service was non-existent!

crowded on a Friday night, but this place has a refreshingly polite and accommodating staff.

Incredible food, and somehow the service is even better. I always leave happy, full, with leftovers … and with a smile. I can’t recommend highly enough. If you need Indian food in North Seattle, please come here!

This has been my favorite Indian restaraunt for the last 25 years. The food quality has been and still is on-point. I have never had a dish that disappoints. Their Chai is wonderful, their curries are very tasty and can be made with mild to no spicy heat without sacrificing flavor. The best part of Taste of India is the superb quality of service and friendliness of the wait staff. Your Chai cup rarely empties and your finished plates are whisked away promptly.
Today we enjoyed being surprised by the art that has been receny added to their walls. Love it!

Our family favorites:
Spinach Naan
Kids favorite: Mango curry chicken
Hubby favorite: Coconut curry with fish
Oldest's favorite: palak Masada with lamb
My favorite: Tandoori chicken or Shahi Korma with lamb
Not ready to become to ventures with flavors: butter Masada.
Best dessert: Mango cheesecake
Drinks: Chai or mango lassi

Taste of India is committed to quality and excellence in every way.

Be prepared for a delicious meal at a somewhat slower pace. Plan to take your time to savor the meal. Very good at not poisoning folks with dietary restrictions.

Much better when on Spokane St.. and nothing like they are advertising in the pictures. Mix grill, no lamb. Seafood grill, no shrimp. Salmon thin dry very small pieces of fish, no shrimp. What was supposed to be mild is now seriously spicy butter sauce. These are super small serving sizes and you don't even get what you ordered. So, 100 dollars later to what might or should have been closer to half that is so sad. Our families cravings have been solid and better met at Mediterranean Grill, Northgate

This has been my favorite Indian spot since I first came with my teenage friends 20 years ago. The food is divine, the chai flows freely, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is comfy. Definitely try the kheer!

Beautiful patio seating! They have unlimited chai that is so good! They gave us a free desert! I have traveled so many different places and this by far is my favorite restaurant!

Food was what we were looking for: naan was close to what I'd expect from a British Indian restaurant, the chicken tikka and prawn korma were delicious. I upgraded the korma w some green chilies on the side and they graciously obliged. They gave us a complimentary pakora taster at the start, and a little slice of cheesecake at the end. They had some Indian lager available. Minus points for the atmosphere - it's not classy at all, which is fine but just unlike you might expect... and the inside seating is loud and smelled like cleaning fluid. Outdoor was ok. Staff were good and food came out quickly.

It's my favorite place for Indian food. The food is amazing and the staffs is great. They give you a small appetizer before you order, their servings are enough to split with someone, they always make sure your glass is full, they give you a small complimentary dessert at the end of your meal.

Best Indian food I’ve had in the 13 years of living in the US! The staff were so attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. So flavourful and arrived piping hot. Really lovely meal! Thank you Taste of India :-)
