This place definitely needs an overhaul. The look is gloomy and looks like one of those places out of the 80s Indian cinema. The toilet definitely requires more handwashing sinks. The background music sounded more like Nepali traditional mountainous music. The vibe is just weird. The food is pretty good but lacks side dishes like no salad or additional gravy as some other traditional Indian places do. The only thing outstanding is the service you will have someone available to help you or serve you when requested but not to the point of irritation.Nice place and location just needs a better vibe, maybe a brighter look.

Amazing food!!!Ordered butter chicken and rogan josh with chicken, pakoras and parathas. The curries came with tasty basmati rice that was extra seasoned with cumin seeds (I think). Big chicken pieces in both curries, pakoras were delicious. The portions are big, we had lunch for 2 and still had leftovers for another meal. The place operates as a delivery kitchen, the pickup was super easy - I came in, scanned a QR code and a locker opened with my food. Also, the food came in a nice reusable tote bag.I will definitely ordered again.

Have eaten here for years and never taken the time to review but now's the time! Huge menu, food is very flavorful with generous portions (including the buffet), but perhaps most importantly the staff is always friendly, welcoming, and efficient (it's difficult to get to the bottom of your water glass as they are always returning to fill it up!) Suel is particularly friendly with a good sense of humor! We love Masala and give it our highest recommendation without hesitation!
I had the great time eating at your restaurant, very friendly staffs and awesome atmosphere ....foods were very very delicious.

Delicious food, great Service!
One lunchtime, I had a couple of hours before my next meeting and decided to go to Masala of India Cuisine. I had driven past it may time and thought yes, I'll give it a go! What a complete waste of time. Mask ON, I went in the restaurant and it was empty with hardily any lights on and so I asked if they were open. I heard a "Yes we are" - great I thought. I asked for a table, as the sign outside said 'dine in' in or 'take away'. The manager(?) said I need to see your covid-19 vaccination card (and that is the first time ever I have been asked) and I thought 'fair enough' and proceeded to show my vaccination card from my iPhone wallet. "NO!" said the kind manager and threw me out! (He would only accept paper versions of vacc cards!!!!!) This was the 2-Mar-2022, a little more than 2weeks before the 'end of convid-19 restrictions' for WA on 21-Mar-2021. I thought that he was RUDE+STUPID and won't ever go there again. I then went to SAFFRONS just down the road and they were lights on ,lively, friendly and had great food.
We rarely order out but this was a good choice. Our food came warm and tasty. We ordered all vegetable dishes including butter veggies instead of butter chicken...delicious. We will visit the restaurant in the next few months.
This restaurant has great ambiance and the service is phenomenal. Living very close, it's always an easy option but a tasty one at that!
Masala, located on Northgate Way next to the Northgate Mall, is okay to good, but I feel it could be better with some easy changes.I don't know if they have parking i parked across the street by the KeyBank in the mall parking lot. The main dining room features wooden tables and chairs and comfortable padded booths as well as a decently large lunch buffet. The restrooms are down the hall to the back and needed servicing as well as the men's restroom had graffiti and soiled walls. The bar is located on the opposite side and features televisions mounted to the wall and high stools with a full bar available apparently. Reds and muted yellows and oranges is the atmosphere ambiance of the paint and decor. The lighting is rather dim inside and I had to turn on a light on the phone to properly read the menu. The industrial-ish ceiling and ducting seemed out of place and stood out to me as something which did not belong here. They have a large menu and as well feature plenty for vegetarians and vegans. The beer selection was limited as seems to always be the case at Indian restaurants. I had the mango chicken which was too chewy and dry for my liking and as well I can tell the chicken is the mix of breast and rib meat put together which I don't care for.The appetizer we chose was the panak paneer which also was not done correctly as it was far too thick and not the correct texture. Service was average and they tried but really not up to a good standard.
