I decided on their standard salted caramel cake for a birthday cake and I found the cake to be too sweet, both icing, filling and the cake itself. It's like eating sugar candy. The cake is very pretty and looks well made, but the taste is disappointing. This is my first time ordering cakes from Sweetside, and I guess their cakes live up to their name! I ordered a chocolate blackout cake for a birthday. Ordering was easy and I actually asked to switch my pickup date by a few days via email and they were able to accommodate which I was very thankful for. As a baker myself I rarely order cakes from other people but took a chance on this place and was not really satisfied. It looked nice, but if taste isn’t up to par the outside doesn’t really matter.
