I usually love their burnt rice and soy milk but today I found something in the com chay 🙁
Pandan soy milk is so bad, like cold water mixed with industrial colors, has no taste! Too bad!
Bought the fresh soy milk recently and it tastes like water with no extra flavor in it!
Never come back for sure!

Roast pork bánh mì is great! Fried tofu is always good! But pricing is breaking my bank, just like everywhere else I suppose. So I don't frequent this place as much any more. It's only for treating ourselves.

Don’t get the grill pork banh mi here, it’s cold and bland. Just go to the Saigon bakery a block over for fresh flanky hot sandwich

I used to love this place, tasty food with affordable price. But today I was super disappointed. Their service is pretty rude (and I was fine with it), but since they don't have price marked on their tofu products, today they charged me way more than they should (40% more) and even didn't give me any receipt. Will never come back.
Parking: has plenty of parking spots in front of the shop but could get busy on weekends
We got 2 banh mis; a grilled chicken and a grilled beef. They were good! Also got a jug of soy milk.

Tell me why I order the grilled beef banh mi and I open it and the beef is grilled hamburger meat. Cheaply made.
The food is decent and you can usually find what you a looking for. Service is good, a bit of a wait when they are busy. Clean and orderly.
Parking: Maybe it's because I visit on the weekends, but parking is a challenge. The lot is pretty tight to. But hey, it's free.

The Banh Mi was ok. Better than in Denmark but not the best I have tried in

Thanh Son has a few locations around the US but not the same quality across the board (referencing the one from OC). Food-wise, this is one of the best places for bánh mì in Seattle. I’ll probably try the soy milk and tofu one of these days, as these are their specialty items.
There’s 2 different lines to buy take out items versus bánh mì, by the way.
Because this is a take out spot, some items are sitting around, which affects the taste:
* xôi (sweet sticky, glutinous rice): I got the tri-color one, and they all tasted exactly the same, so it must be food coloring. Usually, the taste is different from natural flavors.
* bánh giò (banana leaf wrapped pork dumpling): The flavor for this was good, but my stomach didn’t like this one too much. I prefer the one from Nissi Banh.
* bánh tiêu (sesame bread): pretty good
Like a lot of Vietnamese delis/take-out spots (or at least the ones that I’m used to), prices aren’t posted for items not on the menu board, so you will have to ask though I agree it would make life easier if they were more transparent.

You're here for the banh mi. They make very good sandwiches and that's all you should order - vegetarian options are also available. The bread could be improved a bit (go early to get fresher loafs) but the fillings are moist and generous. They do offer other smaller options and drinks as well but nothing compares to the sandwiches. There's a small free parking lot on site but otherwise you're parking on the street.

Best Bahn Mi in the game.
The most amazing fresh tofu in the northwest. An absolute game changer when cooking. So good you can eat it raw. And they’re such friendly wonderful folks running it.
