Great dinner! We got the cinnamon roll and shared a breakfast plate. Our sever was a little busy.
We had breakfast at 5 Point Café this morning, and although the lady at the entrance was incredibly friendly and welcoming despite the place being packed, the experience went downhill from there.
The waitress serving our table wasn’t particularly warm, and it took a long time before we were able to order. While ordering, she talked my son into adding hash browns, which felt wrong and unnecessary. They weren’t eaten in the end, and it really bothered me to waste a whole dish because of someone else’s pushy suggestion.
We also had to wait a long time for our food. The portions were huge, but the meals themselves were pretty average. On top of that, it wasn’t cheap — I found it pretty expensive for what it was.
We were also given only one set of cutlery between three people, and had to ask another staff member to bring more. The café looks quirky and fun from the outside, and I wish we could have experienced the inside, but we were seated outdoors.
Overall, we left disappointed and wouldn’t go back.

Ordered breakfast, the cost was way higher than posted. Ordered coffee and the server kept saying she will bring it to me but after asking twice, she seemed to forget. So I ate my breakfast without the coffee that I paid for.

I have been visiting this bar and cafe for 30 years. Excellent food-I recommend salmon eggs Benedict, but you can’t go wrong. Great vibe, eclectic crowd. Never had a bad time here. Basic rules apply. Be respectful and have a blast (not in the bathroom, please). Top 10 bar in North America, in my book. And I have been around.

Reasonably priced, actually pretty good food, really chill staff, dice bar vibes. Feels authentic.
I usually like coming here but the last time I was there the server on the bar side was extremely rude and discriminatory. When me and my friend first walked in, the server made a joke about doing cocaine (that doesn’t seem like such a joke in retrospect). He acted as if serving us was such a task, and once he dropped our food off, didn’t check on us again. My friend and I were having a good time regardless the shitty service (kind of what you get at this place) and the server came over to tell my friend to lower his voice because it was morning and everyone else was quiet. Then while we were trying to keep our voices down, at this white man’s order, I was whispering to my friend with my head low and close to him. This server then came back and kicked us out because he said my head was on the table, my head never touched the table (gross). The server felt it was appropriate to belittle us while we sat there and everyone watched. He made a comment about the liquor board coming in and seeing me like that, it was wild because I guarantee I’ve been there in the past while that same server was drunk and shit talking about them being short staffed. The attack was racially motivated and because of this I would never recommend this place if you’re a person of color.
I went twice during my Seattle visit and loved it!! the atmosphere was definitely a little intimidating at first, but that combined with the casual service and the warm and delicious food made me feel really comfortable. I already want to go back again next time I visit!

2nd time here, never coming back. 1st time I was almost shoved into the restroom by a due that wanted to do who knows what. And no one working took me seriously. Decided to give it another try 2 years later. Nope. STILL waiting on food over an hour later, tried to charge me 2x because the waiter is clearly intoxicated, so much so he came back and said “What did you guys want again? Sorry I forgot to put it in!” Then laughing afterwards stumbled back to the kitchen. Do NOT come here! Also heard rumors about the owner. Google them because I don’t want this to be removed for slander

Just one star off of service because the check was presented while I was still eating. Thats a pet peeve of mine. Great food though. I had the French toast and oh has the breakfast burrito. He couldn't finish it! VERY BUSY. But has outside tables for under 21. On 21+ allowed inside. Tons of great memorialbilia and humorous signs throughout. Tables are tight so you will get to know your neighbor lol
Definitely recommend

Great dive bar perfect for evening drinks, but a little too dark and loud for breakfast for me (unless you score patio seat). My French Toast and eggs were delicious, and if not for the service fee, would have given it five stars.
I was seated at the bar only because no tables were available. The bartender took my valid California REAL ID and held it for over 10 minutes before refusing to serve me, claiming it “wasn’t coming up.” This explanation was vague and unacceptable.
To obtain a REAL ID in California, you are required to provide extensive documentation, including proof of identity, legal presence, and state residency. My ID was legitimate and valid.
I look younger than my age, but I am much closer to 30 than I am to 18. I did not request to sit at the bar, yet I was singled out and denied service despite providing proper identification. The way this situation was handled felt discriminatory and unprofessional.
I chose to leave and spend my money elsewhere, where I was treated with respect and had no issue being served. This experience was disappointing and left a very bad impression. I tipped 30% at a different restaurant! Disgusting customer service . I am a grown woman not no teenager trying to drink at a bar!

I love The 5 Point Café! The service is always top-notch — Jenny, our server, noticed the maple syrup bottle was sticky and immediately swapped it out for a fresh one without us even asking. The food is consistently delicious, and honestly, whenever I’m in downtown this is my go-to spot for breakfast with my 8‑year‑old. We love sitting outside, soaking up the music and the laid‑back vibe. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the staff always make us feel welcome. It’s the kind of place that feels like a true Seattle staple — quirky, fun, and full of character

This is the best place to go half dive bar half restaurant. They play sports games on the TV and they have a juke box. Atmosphere and people are awesome a lot of regulars. The service is Amazing and Fun. Very Diverse crowd. Food is so good breakfast 🍳 all day and they have so many options of food genre's. Rather big portions of food dinner size or two can share. Bartenders are the best they will take care of you.
