Not very authentic Döner. 2nd worst Döner I’ve ever had

Aik Mubsir

Incredible! I’ve tried many doner and shawarma spots, and this one is by far the best! The lamb doner sandwich was exceptional, and I still can’t believe that for just $13, you get a full, satisfying meal. It’s a must try if you’re in the area.

I will forever remember the great service and food I received here at The Berliner Döner Kebab. Service was delivered with a smile and my order was made with speed, care, and quality. I devoured the delicious lamb and beef kebab sitting on the bench close to MOHAI while looking out to Lake Union thinking to myself: what a great start to the new year! I’ll be back here again for sure. Hats off to the food staff who was on duty on January 2nd; You made my day!

Got house chicken with extra meat, because lamb and beef were all sold out!! Bread was baked to perfection and chicken taste good with sauce. Great size, so much bigger than I remembered. Staff were good vibe too. I would def come back more.

I didn’t want to leave 1 star because I think it was an honest mistake but i ordered the chicken salad and they completely forgot the chicken. That would be ok if it was refunded or corrected in some way but we tried to call and sent multiple messages to them and never got a response so I can’t in good conscience leave anything higher than a 1.

Barely any meat despite adding extra meat in the menu. It used to be decent but not so much anymore. Not worth it.

I have never had a döner from Berlin (or outside of the US), so I cannot speak to the authenticity of the sandwich that other customers have referenced.

What I do know is that the döner here is delicious. I switch between the chicken and lamb/beef, and berliner (garlic sauce) and fiery kreuzberg (spicy) options on house bread. If I want something a little lighter, I go with the spinach wrap option.

This is one of my favorite little secret hole in the wall spots in Seattle. I always receive good, quick, and friendly service.

The one downside is that there no seating (since COVID), so you will have to take it to go.

The chicken doner is decent, and the portions while not generous are okay. However, they were really stingy with the meat. Felt like I was eating bread with vegs and sauce. Don’t expect to feel full after eating this sandwich (regardless of the protein). However, not too many other options for this type of food.

Sandwiches are great. Wait time is horrible. They prioritize online orders over in-store orders and what makes it worse is that you have no way to know the wait time if you online order.

The sandwich tasted allright, but it‘s nowhere near a Döner (other than the type of bread). I used to come here a few years ago and while not original, it at least got close. The bread was the right shape and the flavor was decent. Now they are just a shadow of their former self. The bread is cut so that it essentially is just 1/2 Döner and the taste is far off, especially the meat (too strong of a lamb flavor).

Not sure if there was an ownership change, cost cutting or whatever reasoning, but please go back to the say you made Döner 5+ years ago.

I had a chicken doner sandwich today. You walk in, order and pay on the screen and it texts you when it’s ready. There is no indoor seating, but has two tables outside. The sandwich was ready in 3 minutes. Self serve napkins, so the only interaction with the staff was to take the bag from them. The sandwich itself left much to be desired. It tasted more like a chicken salad sandwich than a doner. There was a heavy dill sauce on it. The apples and lettuce were fresh, but the chicken was extremely dry. Fresh bread, but unfortunately that was the main component. Not much inside. I will not return, or recommend.
