kakao Reviews
This place is the best place in Seattle for a Mocha, they make the most delicious Valrhona Mocha. The baristas there rock, Kimmy, Midori and Maki are so friendly and always have a smile on their face. I am so sad you are shutting down due to the Corona Virus but totally understand and will miss you guys. I can't wait for you to reopen! Stay healthy!!
Nice coffeeshop, had a good mocha. Wifi is fast and the location is spacious.
Drinks are a “pay what you wish” model, but they have suggested prices too
This coffee shop has the best people. I had an interview and was looking for a quiet place to make a phone call. The staff helped me set up a table behind their counter so that I could do my interview. I’m so touched by their kindness.

Kakao offers a nice selection of drinks, including espresso, cortado, and sipping chocolate. The space is spacious with a modern, open feel, and it can be quiet in the mornings. Customers often find the atmosphere welcoming, especially for events like cacao ceremonies. The staff is friendly and helpful, with baristas who can assist in choosing drinks, even if some are volunteers. There are vegan baked goods available at times, and non-dairy milk options such as oat, soy, and almond are offered. The hot chocolate is highly praised, especially the 63%, which is rich, creamy, and perfectly sweetened. The house hot chocolate with oat milk is delicious—smooth and not too sweet—and the sipping chocolate is also highly recommended. The space is popular for working or meeting, and there is a community gathering area in the back. Unique chocolates are for sale, adding to the inviting environment. Overall, Kakao provides a cozy and friendly place to enjoy high-quality drinks and chocolates.
