The food and service were amazing! The steaks were cooked perfectly with the fat melting in your mouth. The drinks were delicious and well worth what we payed. As for the cheese cake, I've never had one as good as this. 5/5 for us, thank you for helping me celebrate my wife's 33rd Birthday!

Everything I want from a Steakhouse. Friendly staff, attention to detail, fantastic cocktails and food. Yes it's pricy but it lives up to the price tag. That crab and lobster cake was the best appetizer I've ever had in all seriousness.

Special occasion - great old school atmosphere - but a disappointing experience and the food was nowhere near worth the prices - it just wasn’t that good. This Gorgonzola “crusted” steak with cab reduction - was steak, + huge blob of Gorgonzola. Near indelible as it was like eating melted strong Gorgonzola with chewy texture - could taste nothing but Gorgonzola. Then when leaving, we told the waiter of the issue and it was like “really?, that’s too bad - ok would you like desert”. No thank you. “Ok here’s the bill for $$$$$$$ - have a great night.” ?.

We went to The Capitol Grille based upon previous experiences at other Capitol Grilles. However I was quite disappointed in the Bone-In Ribeye steak. I was expecting a tender and and juicy steak which it was not. Also this was the first time I had a Ribeye with so much gristle I which I couldn't eat. Also one of the recommended red, Washington ones was not good especially when it be similar to the one we first drank. This was the first time I had a bad experience at a Capitol Grille.

Capital Grille was a wonderful treat. Our server Arne was fabulous and was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. We had a perfect meal before going to the 5th Ave theater. My filet was cooked perfectly as was my husband's New York steak with the cabernet wine reduction and gorgonzola sauce. All of the sides complemented the meal and were more than shareable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and of course, we hope to be back again soon.
They are very rude at the door, they don't tell you in a vance any rules, they chance them as they go. For example, at the door, you could bring a purse when the door person is in a good mood and no keys come on. Are we supposed to leave them in the car?
