There are restaurants you visit, and then there are restaurants that somehow become part of the rhythm of your life. For me, Matador West Seattle is firmly in the second category.

For roughly a decade, my friends and I have been meeting here almost every Tuesday. Add in lunches with my wife, dinners with family, and plenty of other visits over the years, and I’ve spent a lot of time inside these dark walls. And I mean dark as a compliment.

Leaving another review to say the food quality and the service is consistent during Happy Hour 10pm-12am. Tom took care of me and poured me a nice beer in their chilled mugs and the service was great. I thought Habanero prawns might be too spicy and he told me about “off menu” chili garlic prawns so I was happy with those and the little rice mound that came with it. Also the steak tacos were on point for $7! Glad there is a space I can count on to go to after...

This was not my first time here, but I figured I would write a review! I love taking friends here and it's a great date spot, too. It was however my first time making it in for Top Shelf Tuesday, which is awesome! The food is always fresh and plated beautifully. I got the Paella which was delicious.

I think one of the things I like about this place as opposed to a lot of other sit down spots in the area is that the servers are attentive and friendly, but...
