I had a HORRIBLE experience without even needing to eat here. I parked in a legal and designated paid parking spot. When I got out of my car - an employee at Noble Fir approached me and very rudely scolded me for parking too close to(and thereby not respecting???) their POTTED PLANTS. I apologized and quickly need to run into an appointment. When I came back to my car (which again had been parked on a legal parking spot that I paid for) they had left a nasty note on my car letting me know they reported me to parking enforcement and to expect a ticket. It’s amazing to me that with all that’s going on the world - this restaurant would go out of their way to be so rude. He’d already scolded me and I had apologized - but to try to ensure I’d have to pay a $100 parking ticket for being too close to their plants - seems excessive.

My fiancé and I stopped at this bar on our visit to Seattle/Washington. We had a lovely time trying wine and Washington ciders, browsing the hiking books, and speaking to the owners. They were very kind and knowledgeable about hiking and plants - two of my favorite things!I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before on google, but I feel like I needed to because this was truly a lovely bar. (And I don’t even like bars very much!)

A fav local spot, especially when the sun is out. 21+ means no kiddos running around, so a great respite for these parents. ?

A cute little brewery tucked into the heart of Downtown Ballard -- the folks that own the joint are really passionate about the Cubs and all things Chicago, so it was very fun to see that reflected in the decor! We stopped by on a Saturday evening to catch a March Madness game and a quick drink before a nearby dinner reservation. We sat at the bar and they had TVs with the game on! They have a ton of local beers and an impressive cider list -- I got a currant cider that I was a big fan of! The owners are very sweet and fun to talk to, and I definitely hope to stop by again soon!

A problem with the bill that failed to be resolved. It did not seem like an amicable atmosphere. Owner became angry at a patron for innocuous reason, as far as I could see. Then was being very nice to the regulars (my guess), yet watchful over the restaurant. Paid bill and left. Good selection of drinks and nice decorations.

Rick runs the stick, Ellen runs the floor. This bar is the passion project of a cool couple who's actually stuck around. Good drinks, calm soothing ambiance, half an explorers club type bar and half a chilled out sports bar - this place is a unicorn, a real institution. Serious regular potential. Don't miss it, you won't find a place like this every day.

Each beer and cider was really good and high quality. Food options are enough, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The owners are super friendly and are knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We also really appreciated the option to sit outside and enjoy the Summer evening.

I have been to Noble Fir a few times over the past decade, and as a life long Chicago Cubs fan, it's the one place I can always catch a game. The owner is a passionate about the Cubs, so it's a blast coming in here. The place has an interesting beer selection, with some of the beers unavailable elsewhere. It was also interesting that while they had mainly local beers, none were from Ballard! The South Sound was well represented with E9 and Matchless, and they had a guest tap for Goose Island. Love the large windows and the bar, and it's great place to catch a Cubs game or drink some interesting craft beers or both!

The Noble Fir is a place you can go and not worry about your order. Every beer and every wine choice is excellent...and Rich and Ellen are happy to make a recommendation. Small snacks are a great pairing for a lazy afternoon and a couple of drinks, while chatting with the folks at the bar. One of our favorite local spots!

I pass the noble fir quite often but haven't found myself here until recently. I can't wrap my head around how they have their items priced. At close to 20 dollars for three items, it was shocking to see how little food there was. The piece of cheese, salmon, and tiny slivers of salmon were absolutely teeny tiny - definitely not worth almost 7 dollars per item that you pay for. They were also out of bread and gave us very bland crackers and also were out of sliders that I wanted to try. They have a decent selection of beers and wine which was probably their only saving grace besides friendly people who serviced our table. They have you self service water from an orange igloo dispenser - couldn't tell if this was only for patio seating or they make you do that if you dine indoors. Overall, shockingly small amount of food with strange table service and if you have any appetite at all, you might have to treat this place as a very light appetizer spot with some unique beer and wine options.
