I've been here twice for live music events. They have one of the best sound systems and acoustics in Seattle for a venue of their size. It's a nice vibe and good location in Ballard.

Drinks are good and strong and averagely priced for Ballard. The line situation at the bar is confusing - it mixes with the line for tickets to the show in back? - but moves quickly and bartenders are friendly and accommodating. No food available. Great place to see a band!!

To Spencer behind the bar, "Love ya man!"I love hanging around in downtown Ballard but especially at the Sunset Tavern. I'll stop in and have a Tecate and chat with Spencer or if there's a show I'm looking forward to seeing. This intimate stage has a magical way of bringing people together. Love this venue!!

Don’t kid yourself the main reason to come here is to listen to the live band(s) that are playing that night ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s definitely one of the bigger and better stages found in Ballard and on that street. Great venue especially when it comes to their lights.
Place was fun on Halloween, saw Vanilla Abstract play and tons of people were in very fun costumes. The beer was good and the atmosphere was happening. Good amount of space to both talk and dance.

I went for a show that I really liked which was Skyway Man who I know through Joe Pera’s perfect show Joe Pera Talks with You who now has his very own stand up special on YouTube called Slow and Steady which is also so very good and nice and perfect for where ever you are now, but is all background to the time I enjoyed myself listening to music at Sunset Tavern as I thought about the last time I was there when I met folks I played music with for about a year before the pandemic started, and my life changed in so many ways for so many reasons good and bad honestly
