Great spot for MNF! A classic neighborhood sports bar and pub, the food was so good I can’t wait to go back. Definitely order the pretzel bites!

Good food with a wide selection and kind service. We got there right during a dinner rush so it took a bit for our bites to come out, but it was great & comfortable atmosphere to hang out in. Would happily frequent.

If you get a chance, try their Hot Honey Chicken sandwich. We usually order togo, but everything we've tried has been delicious. The staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is pretty cheerful. Of course you'll have to get here early for a Hawks game as they do get full.

Very average sports bar, nothing special, the food was okay. The broccoli was a good size, very acidic. The chicken bites were small and tasted very breaded. The brisket sandwich was okay, the bread was well toasted, but it wasn’t anything overly memorable.

I must start by this place has a great following of locals. But for tourist from out of state this is not the place. I tried placing an order via phone- no luck. Says call can not go through. I called the Roosevelt location. They tried calling the West Seattle location- no luck. We decided to drive their get into the door and went to sit down and we asked the employee there at the West Seattle establishment. Why we couldn’t get in contact with the restaurant, they said we unplugged the phone, we got too busy is their response. Did you try to place an order for pick up online. I said the only option they had is through Door Dash. I said I don’t use door dash. Went to sit down, employee asked my Daughter if she had ID and if she was 21. No she is only 14. You can’t be in here is her response. I thought the whole handling of customers was completely unprofessional. This is not a FAMILY establishment, so if you have a family or think about ordering food from here. Don’t. It is not a family establishment. At least that’s the vibe I get from their employees.
Kid-friendliness: Not friendly at all. Not listed on their website.
Stiff drinks and great food. Awesome neighborhood spot.

Six months to a year ago, I'd have had The Westy at four stars with a much happier review...
The Westy is a great place to have a drink, very "neighborhoody" and cosy, open relatively late (for post-Covid Seattle). Food, though, is tricky. The chicken and waffles were a favorite - they removed them from the menu. Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays had specials and a reasonable variety - now it's literally three menu items. In general, the food recently has become variable in quality, and we've had to send food back a couple of times recently.
The service varies a lot - it seems like beyond a few staff there's a lot of turnover, which normally indicates some sort of management issue. Regulars seem to know that sitting at or near the bar provides much better service than the back room.
We used to go regularly for brunch until several weeks ago, we attempted to order what we had in the past and were simply told "we don't have that." When we asked about the change, the server and bartender both brusquely instructed us to look at the menu. Needless to say, we've stopped going for brunch altogether, and visit infrequently in the evenings.
I'm hoping that they can mount a comeback at some point, but right now I'd say come for the drinks but eat elsewhere.
