The Whale Wins Reviews
Bummer, been going for years to all of her restaurants. Food is excellent, ambiance is five stars. However, for the first time I felt very unwelcome here. First of all, great service! Attentive, great timing, gracious and very sweet. Then it’s the ambiance. Architecture open and airy, which I love in the era of Covid. Not loud at all but there were only three tables occupied inside. Most customers were outside. Then the food. I had the egg sandwich with the bacon and spicy sauce. yum! I want to go back now for dinner and a glass of wine.
Menu
The Whale Wins offers great food, service, and ambiance, making it a welcoming spot for gatherings. The menu provides something for everyone, with deliciously varied cuisine. While the menu may be limited, the atmosphere is gorgeous and conceptually impressive. With patient staff and a quieter larder area, it's a perfect choice for a wonderful dinner with friends or family. The restaurant has been recognized on award lists. Customers praise the fantastic service and the quality of the food. The owner, Renee Erickson, is admired for her culinary and business skills. The pork chop was done to perfection. The setting is casual and comfortable. Brunch items are shared. The frittata had fresh Parmesan. The sardine toast was light and not fishy at all. The perfectly roasted tomatoes were delicious on the breakfast platter with the homemade red beans. All the food was great with the exception of one dish, some kind of grain crêpe with mushrooms, which really had no flavor at all. The service was great. The waiter was outstanding.
