Tin Hat is a bar on the strip of restaurants on 65th right around the corner from Goodwill in Ballard/Greenwood. Parking here is usually ok on the street but some nights or weekends you may have to walk a block or two. Inside it's a very divey spot, with low lighting, some pinball machines and obscure things all over the walls and ceilings. The staff here are always amazing, so friendly and always joking around. I very rarely go to bars, but stopped in to have a couple beers and a burger. Service was great, the food was good, and the pricing was fair. I’ll definitely go back when I’m in town.
I hesitate to share this gem because it’s my go-to spot every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. I’ve been a regular for years, enjoying their unbeatable $0.99 hard tacos. Each one is a delight, and the beer prices are just as reasonable. I can leave with a full, happy belly and a beer for under $10—unheard of!
