Had a great experience dining at Toulouse. It was within walking distance from the Space Needle and I made reservations online a few hours ahead of time. The service was great, the atmosphere pleasant and the food was fresh and delicious.
The service was great if a little slow at times. The food was ok, a bit of a let down. The grits were not good. Way too creamy, tasted like they used American cheese and way too much heavy cream. The shrimp and related sauce were good. I had the creole Lucy. I also tried the mussels with tarragon and saffron and the tarragon was way over powering which made the dish almost inedible. My friend had the half chicken and he said it was really dry. I tasted the gumbo and it tasted...
I'm glad I forgot that my family and I had been underwhelmed by the food here seven years ago, because I had a great meal when I went tonight. I got there in time for happy hour, had a sazerac and a bunch of different happy hour dishes. Everything was great, and the prices were very reasonable.
