the food isn’t worth how long they make you wait for food. they also lack communication about how long the actual food will take. i ordered 2 rolls with my husband and waited over an hour. this is ridiculous. i almost walked out before they came with my rolls. i was so upset that i paid and took it to go. when i asked why it took so long she just deflected and explained what i ordered… like i know what i ordered, why are you explaining it to me? i’ve never experienced this before. what really caught me off guard is that there is only 3 other customers including us. i can’t imagine why the wait took so long! i had no explanation at all. literally any kind of explanation would’ve been nice, but we had zero updates. like at all. i feel like an update would’ve been appreciated. from other reviews it seems like this is a pattern… not sure if i’ll return ):

I had the best experience, the food was delicious I had the Ocean Roll and it was fabulous. The Dragon roll was also great. We were greeted with a complimentary miso soup that it was surprisingly good too. So id highly recommend, nothing fancy just a great no pretentious sushi place.

While visiting family in Seattle, this is our new “go to” spot for Sushi. The sushi is so good, a great selection too. We have one person who doesn’t eat sushi, so there are other option for her. Service is excellent. A MUST try if you’re in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We were very impressed by the front of house server who was doing a fantastic job especially for being the only front of house employee working that night. She was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about her work.

Chefs and server attitudes were really cool; totally the vibe you want to support. The seared salmon nigiri was phenomenal. Nice miso and house sake at an affordable price; a $40 Omakasi ?! I am interested and will be back to try

Bravo! So fresh! The employees are so happy and accommodating. I had to wait a bit to get my order because I arrived early and they were very sweet and radiant and the restaurant is respectable and clean! I got the Seattle roll (super delicious salmon) and the Real Crab California roll and they were both crispy with crunch, high quality, and didn’t fall apart even a little bit. I’m stoked to know such a quality sushi place exists!

This is way overdue, we’ve been coming to Tsui since they opened. Before Covid when we were eating in-house, to making sure they made it through Covid. It’s always been our go to sushi place. They are amazing and always have been. I highly recommend eating in-house, but if you need good sushi to go order ahead and drop by grab your food and enjoy. We will miss them when we are gone.
First time in and will definitely be back! Excellent gluten free rolls 🍣!!

People who complain about the wait, don’t have the palate for excellent quality sushi- that is made with care. Honestly- is my fav sushi spot in Seattle! It’s worth waiting for- the American rush for service is LAME! The seared salmon nigiri is melt in your mouth amazing!

Updating my original review to reflect that this place continues to be 5 stars on all levels, every single time we come here. Even when they are slammed (as they should be, hooray) service is always friendly and if there's a tiny bit of a wait with the food they let us know and it's worth every millisecond of wait. Flavors and quality are heavenly.

The wait was absurdly long for there only being 5 people in the restaurant at 6pm on a Thursday. It took 30 minutes for a salmon roll and chicken katsu to come out. 10 minutes later our second roll came out. I had to ask about the rest of our nigiri which took another 5 minutes when they realized we wanted our food out. It takes less than a minute to make a nigiri. If I didn’t ask about it then it probably would’ve taken another 30 minutes.
