Can speak highly enough about the quality of the sushi and sashimi at Umi. Great sake choices as well. Try the roll with the Hawaii flavor, it has pineapple in it, and they somehow made it work.

This restaurant is STUNNING and the service was exceptional! I mean we never had empty glasses, food service was quick and we were even given a free dessert for our honeymoon! The food itself was good, I feel like I’m a bit spoiled with the sushi back home so I wasn’t blown away by the sashimi here but regardless, it was a fantastic place to eat.

Incredible food for even better prices, with big portions of some of the best sushi I've ever had. The filet mignon is also absolutely amazing.

Service can be a little slow later in the night but overall it’s great. I have Celiac and they are all knowledgeable and careful for me about cross contamination protocols! Love the music and whole vibe. Yes its busy but I have never had to wait as Ive always found seats at the sushi bar!

Came to Seattle for work , this restaurant is right next to my hotel , it was a great experience. The sushi was delicious (fresh, seasoned perfectly), and the sake offerings paired very well. The chef was also friendly, making the experience not too expensive . Highly recommend.

I initially reviewed this 3 star, but I was looking back, 5 years later, and we still talk about how great this place was. Maybe my palette has changed, but I need the world to know I was wrong.

The rice in our rolls were pretty hard and overall just not very good. Other than the free edamame, would for sure go somewhere else. Waiter wasn’t very nice either.

Umi is yummy. On the pricier side, but well worth it. There is a happy hour on weekdays, so if you are worried about the price tag, look for the times for that.Great place to take a date.

Umi Sake House delivers a great blend of fresh, quality sushi and cocktails. Everything we tasted was high quality and so fresh. Clearly, this is a popular spot and there was a blend of casual to dressed up diners the night we visited. The lychee martini is potent but deliciously light and sweet. I had a crunchy lizard roll and miso soup. We also enjoyed the udon soup bowl and shared several other rolls that had up to 10 pieces. The only downside for us was the noise level. On a busy Saturday night, it was very loud in the room where we sat, and the sound bounces all over. So it was hard to converse at our table. Pricewise, for 6 of us each ordering a roll and a drink, plus a couple shareable plates, our bill was over $400, but 20% tip was included. I loved that there were other bars and places you could easily walk to after dinner, in this area.

One of my favorite place in Seattle. Super unique place and has amazing food. Our server was super knowledgeable on all the different types of sake they have and gave great suggestions for us to try. Their sushi was also amazing. We sat at little couches and it was just a great vibe.

Where do I even begin! This is the best sushi in Seattle. My friends and I love coming here. Great ambiance, great food. Happy hour spicy ginger chicken is a must! It's a pricey spot but worth it. Service has always been solid other than sometimes when they grab your plate literally 0.5 seconds after you take your last bite, ha!
