Loved the space, beautiful restaurant. Server was lovely and attentive. A few things for improvements- 1.host/hostess would rather the technology do the work than talking with guests or making them feel seen. 2. I don't want to read a huge menu on my phone 3. California rolls don't have mayo, gross. 4. When you bus tables that have a bench, don't push all the crumbs and water from the table on the bench. I say directly on water.
Umi Sake House has some of the best sushi I've ever had. Everything was incredibly fresh and the rolls were very creative. The size of each sushi bite was perfect. I hate when sushi pieces are oversized and fall apart, but these were just the right size and easy to enjoy. The restaurant was very busy, so it took a while for our food to come out, but it was understandable given how packed it was. The only downside is that it's very loud inside, so it can be difficult...
The Empress roll was our favorite roll by FAR! The fresh lemon elevated it to a whole other level. It a a special roll for the month of July but it should be on the fixed menu! (Photo: Tropical Paradise in front and Empress in the back).
