Highly recommend a visit to Urara is you're looking for a great sushi spot near Pike Place Market! We ordered a few rolls and the omakase sashimi for lunch and it did not disappoint. The omakase comes with miso soup too. The portion sizes were large and we left feeling very satisfied. They also have gluten free tamari sauce. If you're gluten intolerant make sure to ask for a server for it as it's not listed on their menu.

Easily some of the best sushi and miso soup in downtown Seattle. I’ve been exploring sushi spots all over the heart of the city, and Urara is one of my favorites. It’s a hole in the wall type of cozy place, the fish is amazing and the servings are large, the team is incredibly kind and hard working, prices are very reasonable, and I love how close it is to Pike Place. We decided that, before we go in to wander Pike Place Market, we better not be hungry going in.

So we got an intentional late start so we could have an early lunch at Urara for that very reason - plus we had read good things about the place.

We opted to sit at the counter and so got to interact with the chef.
