Our son is in the Navy so we came up to visit him before his deployment. Decided to head to this wonderful spot we to her a lot of breweries and try mini beers. This little spot is very friendly. The vibe is very relaxed. Brewery is extremely clean and the bartender was extremely friendly and gave plenty of recommendations on what to try And what he recommended all of the beers were unique and very flavorful, including the barley wines, which sometimes can be a little overwhelming. I highly recommend this place. The beers are priced very well and the pours Are perfect in size. Make sure you stop by and see Sam

Urban Family Brewing gives me the spectacular feel of coolness, creativity, and small microbrewery gusto that I love of Seattle's brewery scene.

Here, I thoroughly enjoyed a Lighthouse in the Woods '24 BBA stout with raspberry and vanilla. The stout variant used Dry Fly triticale whiskey and bourbon barrels, upon which they added/conditioned with raspberry and Madagascar vanilla. A helluva 13.2 ABV and highly reminiscent of the Bottle Logic raspberry BBA stout varietal.

Staff was pleasant and the space was hip. Would return to this gem in Ballard again for more creative stouts in the future.

Great space great beers and great staff! My only complaint is against the clientele - when did it become a thing to bring your toddler to a brewery? I’ve had to zig zag through children playing on the floor of the entrance to the building many times and it’s baffling how unaware the parents are.

Urban Family is a must hit brewery when you are in the area. They make lovely beers (especially sours) and have a cool setup with firepits outside, a giant projection tv and they schedule a food truck most nights. This is a great stop for a brewery crawl as there are 5-6 others really close. Note that the service was a bit less relaxed than at the other breweries. Basically if the big bearded bartender is working you better have your mind made up before you arrive at the bar and dont ask questions about the beer!
