Always wanted to visit this cafe and finally tried today.
Got myself Mexican chocolate mocha with strawberry danish.
First of all, when I walked in, the place was gorgeously decorated. I was in love with it and took so many photos.
I was in hurry so I ordered to go order and the coffee was so nice. The scent flavor was amazing. I also loved the strawberry danish it was crispy soft and sweet. I’m definitely coming back and may never go back to Starbucks..

Nice coffee selection. We got a Valencia mocha and Hot chocolate. The barista was friendly and knowledgeable about coffee blends, and coffee recommendations.

As a person who loves his coffee with a proper ambience of subtle, yeah peaceful, this location was not only pleasant to drink my coffee, but also look around and be amazed. Even the bathroom was decorated so miraculously that I couldn’t not look without appreciating the artwork. The barista was friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee was more than suffice, and the pastries were a delicacy.

What a gem! This place is so warm and comfortable. Plenty of place to sit. Looooved the coffee. I got the Tulum latte and it was really delicious. Not to sweet. Just perfect. The service was efficient and timely. The croissant at 4:00 pm was still good. Thumbs up.

Well, now I unfortunately have to join the chorus- the people skills here are TERRIBLE, but management doesn't seem to care. Went for the very first time *hoping* the bad press was just a fluke and I'd be special somehow. Brand new customer, surely they would be nice! I was encouraged when I saw the young barista smiling at the guy before me as he ordered. It was not busy. When it was my turn, she made absolutely no acknowledgement and busied herself wiping things with a rag while completely ignoring me. After about 2 minutes, she snapped "Just a sec." Without even looking at me. Literally no other words. No "hello," nothing. No customers behind me and no other orders besides the one guy before me. Not busy enough to warrant snappiness and complete disinterest. I stood there for a few more minutes and this girl -no joke- pulls out her personal phone and starts scrolling on social media. Hunched down behind the espresso machine. I watched her do this for about 5 more minutes while still totally ignoring me, then I had enough. I said sorry for bothering you and left.
Management needs to wake up, stop deleting reviews, hire new people who actually want to talk and greet people! You know, people who actually LIKE people!
A good barista can make a whole line of drinks while holding a conversation. They don't avoid eye contact, and they definitely don't get on their phones instead of talking to customers right in front of them.
PS- I walked around Ballard after this unfortunate incident, and literally every other coffee shop said they've heard the same thing about this place & their crap people skills. So it's not exactly a secret. Walk down to Anchored or Sabine and get treated right, instead!

I would literally die for this cafe. Perfect vibes, perfect service, perfect everything. As someone who spends a lot of time working out of cafes, this is as good as it gets!

The food & service is good, but the atmosphere is 10/10. It’s so nice in there - and the music is always relaxing & on point.

Disappointing Customer Service
I recently visited Valentina’s and, unfortunately, had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered at a coffee shop. Despite there being no line, the gentleman who took our order acted as if we were wasting his time. We ordered a couple of drinks and a ham pastry, which came out cold. When I politely asked if it could be reheated, he put it back in the oven without any sense of urgency. After several minutes of waiting, it was clear they had no intention of checking on it, so I asked again.
One of the younger baristas then literally threw the pastry on the counter. When I asked if something was wrong, she responded with an attitude, saying, “Are you the one that wanted your pastry reheated?” as if it was a burden. I told them this behavior was rude, but none of the three baristas behind the counter seemed apologetic. Her excuse was that she was in a rush, when they only had two other customers. They clearly had no interest in providing good service or representing the business well.
It’s a shame because this place could be great with the right team. Management should seriously reconsider the staff, as today’s experience felt like they were all on the same plan: not to care.
