It's great the reviews should reflect that better awesome portions, good flavor, what more could you want!

Vatsana's is in our neighborhood, and we tried for the first time tonight. We ordered basic dishes and were blown away by how elevated the flavor was. The portions were large, which is a pleasant surprise during these recession times. I would suggest checking it out, we were pleasantly surprised!

We are regulars here and usual love the food but last night my Dad went and got our usual Pad Thai and a different noodle dish. They both looked, smelled, and tasted horrible. Very disappointed. It wasn't even closing time yet so there really wasn't an excuse. Yuck

First I just want everyone to know, who is ordering Pad Thai from this place, don’t get it. Order the peanut sauce noodle. It’s what your looking for. I don’t know why it’s not called Pad Thai, but yeah. The Pad Thai here is definitely just ketchup. But once you get past that, it’s pretty good. Sometimes they use too much oil but most times they don’t. That’s another flaw. You definitely get better food when there isn’t a rush of customers. The ginger eggplant with chicken is really good and the Basil Fried Rice (Which is not on the menu but they do make it) is a couple of the best things on the menu. Always ask for no green beans too. The reviews are right, the green beans are hard. Hope this is helpful.

Lots of negative reviews on here, they must be ordering something different. I eat at a lot of different Thai food restaurants and almost always get chicken Pad See Ew. The worst thing I have to say about the experience I had here was the spice being underwhelming for 3/5 compared to other shops. It was about 3-5$ more than I would generally expect to spend for Pad See Ew ($17.75) but I got an absolutely massive serving. At least double what I would normally expect from the average Thai place for $12-14 and it was perfectly average in flavor and quality (and I've had some bad Thai food). Considering the cost and MASSIVE portion I am more than happy and would definitely eat here again.

My plate was really bad, was full of green beens and no chicken at all, the fresh rolls were so nasty, very thick and the lettuce was old, no shrimp at all

Really solid Thai restaurant! The quality is pretty good but the portions are very large for the price! Will be coming back

I got it to go and all the sauce was spilled out in the bags, it was topped off in stryofoam so it just spilled out like an open soup can. So irritating. it was so messy i had to throw it in the garbage can, i should have just put 2 $20 bills in the trash can and saved a trip. I took one bite and level 3 spicy was more like level 10. Wont go back. I cant comment on if the food is good or not because it was too spicy to taste anything and i had to toss it out from the mess. The shrimp are micro farm raised shrimps.

The panang curry was rich and yummy. They did not skimp on the beef. I left satisfied and with enough for another meal.

$10 for the worst "fresh" spring rolls (2) I've ever had. I wasn't aware that an order came in 2 rolls. I ordered ahead and asked for only 2, even clarifying I only wanted 2, never saying 2 orders. The lady at the register got upset with me and almost pressured me into buying 2 orders. I'm glad I didn't give in despite feeling bad for the miscommunication. I would not recommend this place. Expensive for the terrible quality.

Prob one of the worst Thai Food I ever had. Ordered Pa See Ew and the noodles taste like it was sunk in the soy sauce. The beef in the noodle is such low quality meat, it's chewy and tasteless. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone

Vatsana has always been my go to place in West Seattle. For the price you are paying, you get a large portion (like this pad seew, it can feed two), they have a wide selection on their menu and their spice level are true to taste. If you are craving Thai food in the White Center/West Seattle area this would be the place to go. Be it alone to have a meal that'll fill you up or a meal for two, this place got you covered. (Not sure why my photo wouldn't update :/ )

Good food and they are friendly. They remembered my usual order and when I accidentally ordered it the wrong way they asked me about it when I got there and offered to modify it real quick. So nice! Yellow curry is good. I like dishes with there wide rice noodles. They are pretty quick though they are popular so you may have to wait a little bit during busy hours. There were a couple of times in the past when the mango sticky rice was too old hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. Call ahead to save time. Tip: I'm pretty sure they also own the teriyaki place 2 doors down and serve the same pot stickers. They are a bit cheaper at the teriyaki place if you wanna save a bit of cash.

After several times ordering takeout from here, the food is consistently average yet pricy ($29 for pad Thai and an appetizer). Pros are the portions are large and orders are generally done fast. However that may be a drawback too: they forgot to put the tofu in our fresh rolls but would not offer a refund on the rolls (unlike other great local spots who do, like Pho-White Center).

This place is seriously our FAVORITE Thai restaurant in the entire country, thus far. AMAZING Tom Kha, Pineapple Beef Curry, and Rangoons! We used to live in West Seattle; we talk about Vatsanas all the time because we can never get it as good as this play. Definitely would recommend! Amazing staff, shout out to Nee (sorry if it's misspelled)!
