My go-to veggie combo in town! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly fermented, nutritious and delicious.Vegetarian options: Their veggie combo is amazing. Delicious + nutritious Injera bread with 6-8 types of vegetarian dishes on top of it, greens, veggies and protein (beans), all cooked and spiced to perfection.Parking: Street parking only but free, more in the neighborhoodKid-friendliness: My kid loved it here. Booth seating is very comfortable for families. They have many kid friendly food options but he always asks for more Injerae!

The food was so wonderful and full of flavor. Was absolutely stuffed at the end of my meal. Our waitress was very sweet and super wonderful at making suggestions so we could have the full Ethiopian food experience! We had a party of 9 and ordered 2 veggie and meat combos. This fed us very well with only a to go box worths of left overs. Jazz band was super talented and i look forward to my next visit here :)Vegetarian options: if you love lentils this is a wonderful place.

The food was to die for, every item has an incredible flavor and the perfect texture, fresh as can be too!! It was my first time trying Ethiopian and our waitress (I believe her name was Sion) had great suggestions for every question our table had, she kept us topped up on drinks and was prompt with all our needs! Thanks so much girl!10/10 would absolutely recommend and I cannot wait to re-visit! There was also a live band playing which added a ton to the experience!

One of my top favorite Ethiopian restaurants in Seattle. You can go with meat eaters and vegans and everyone is happy. Service is fantastic and fast takeout.

Update:I’d say quality has gone down in the last two years they roll their injera and don’t put the platter for on the injera they place everything separate its like they’ve changed for the white population, injera is not the same and shiro quality has went down their portions are small as well. I really like this place as they offer alcohol and live music but I can say it’s no longer worth the hype. You can see the reviewed pictures of how the platters are placed on different plates when that’s not how it’s supposed to be served at allThey’re priced a bit high for a new place, however their food is good, portions are a hit or miss. Sometimes they give you a decent portion other times they hide everything with injera and barely put any sauce in so I suggest checking before you leave. Their injera is good but their teff injera is okay. The restaurants atmosphere seems like they want to make it welcoming to Americans, which is good in Seattle. But their food also does not always seem authentic because of that, like they purposely make it less spicy. But they offer deli every and takeout later than any Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle so just by that they’re up points. Always friendly though and one of the few Ethiopian sports bars in Seattle that make it seem like they want everyone there (not my atmosphere I prefer Ethiopian/ Eritrean only) but hey in Seattle if you want your business to survive you adapt and I can respect that. I believe their chef is East African although I could not tell, she looked a bit Hispanic but she makes good food I was definitely a bit hesitant when I first went. They’re not my first choice but if Chefs Cafe or Kezira are closed then I will go here so definitely top 3 for Ethiopian restaurants although unlike Chefs and Kezira they do not offer Ayeb with your platter, not sure if it’s because it’s a veggie platter or what but their ayeb “house cheese” is priced pretty high at $3 but they do give you a good amount. If you’re an American wanting to try a new place that feels welcoming however still cultural, this is your place but if you’re habesha I suggest ordering to go.

Wonder Bar was crowded tonight since they hosted the Jackson St. Jazz Walk. I first sat next to the band on a bar. I went to the restroom and this guy who stated that he was owner was sitting on my chair. He asked if I wanted to sit down. Earlier he sat at another chair next to me. So he basically kicked me off the bar. I said I will need to ask to share a table with elsewhere with strangers. But hood thing these ladies let me sit down at yheir table. I had to then get the waitress' attention and ordered the lamb. I asked how was it cooked. She did not understand me and said fried. It was actually in a spicy stew. She gave me water with no ice. So it was very warm. The Food is very spicy so it was weird that she gave me just warm water. After she dropped off my food, I asked for a fork. It took her over a half hr to get me one. I thought she forgot and started eating the traditional way with my hands. It got very messy. The bill had 3.5% serv. Charge for using a credit card. I left cash and the tip worked out to 15% if she deducted the charge. Simce they printed new paper menus there was no mention of an extra charge for credit cards. She did not say anything or A Thank You, when she picked up my tab with the cash too. The music was going too. The mirror in the restroom was broken off too. Basically, it was not very goid service but it seemed they hired extra waitstaff. So come on a slow might if you want better service. I used to hang out here too with my laptop on slow might when I leaved a few blocks away.

Wow. This was such a pleasant experience. It's my first time having Ethiopian food and the Spicy Lamb Tibs were so delicious. (Forgot to take pics)I came for a Jazz night after party and the place was packed. Despite being busy these servers were hustling! I couldn't help but watch their team take care of everyone. I'll be back to listen to the jazz and explore more Ethiopian cuisine! Worth a visit when you're in this part of Seattle.

Great food, great Tej (mead), good music. Just wish I had noticed the 20% large party service charge before tipping as well as the additional 3.5% on the bill for non-cash. I'd still go back :)

Ordered Veggie combo and it was delicious. Many options available for vegans. Considerable portion for the price. But, injera was cold.Nice ambient settings but I hated when they added hidden things in the final receipt. $17.99 for veggie combo and approximately $1.50 for credit card processing fees which is ridiculous. Why wasn't it mentioned in the menu or upfront?I would really go back again unless they charge hidden fees on the customers.
