One of the best places for Chinese food in Northeast Seattle!! I have ordered from this place nearly every Thanksgiving since we don't do the traditional "Turkey dinner" at our home, and they've NEVER failed us each time. We've also gone in person and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and it's an intimate restaurant just across from Metropolitan Market. Will definitely continue to be loyal customers here!

ambience wasn't great but food was even worse sadly. got both chicken and beef dishes- BOTH types of meat were terrible quality and borderline gelatinous. flavor was majorly lacking. also quite overpriced for what it is, especially since they don't come with rice!

My husband ordered some takeout from here tonight, and the food is absolutely delicious! They also give generous portions at good prices, and I like that they don't use MSG. They actually remind me a bit of a restaurant I used to go to in my hometown, which I miss now. Yummy Cafe reminds me of them because it's also family owned and serves wonderful tasting food that also feels wholesome. I'm glad we found this place, and we'll definitely be ordering again!

Our curry tasted like melted plastic, until we saw that there was a chunk of plastic cooked into the curry.Besides that, the meet is very low quality, the fried rice is bland, and all the entrees taste pretty similar and super salty.

I love this place! They are clean, friendly, attentive, and have consistent, excellent, fresh food. They serve classic Chinese dishes and have the best customer service! Great price for the high quality, and they even deliver still. It is one of the last restaurants that still provides true service. This is a neighborhood gem that you want to last for decades.

Lived in the neighborhood for over a year but never tried this restaurant as I thought it was westernized Chinese food. Boy was I wrong. This is legit Cantonese food that is on par or better than what can be found in the ID (namely HK Bistro or A+ HK Kitchen). Ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice as well as the beef chow mein. Fried rice was good but preference would be thinner slivers of chicken meat rather than large chunks, though the chicken was very tender. Wished there was also more salted fish. The chow mein was delicious and perfectly made. The noodles were so crispy. The beef was sooooo tender. The flavor was perfect. Definitely will be our new Friday night take out spot.

MY main pet peave is...When you go online to veiw the menu for delivery...WHERE IN THE HELL IS THE PRICING !....The ONLY pricing is add $1 for this and $1 for that... Advice for Yummy Cafe...POST pricing and update as needed ,your LOSING customers without pricing on menu. HOW can anyone give $ amount on cost rating when there is NO pricing on ITEMS..... IDIOTS!

No elaborate decor, but the food was exceptional. The beef in the Mongolian Beef entree was perfectly cooked and tender, not chewy or tough like some places, and the flavor was great.I arrived right after the lunch specials ended at 3pm, so it was understandably empty. I doubt that was the sole reason the food was prepared so quickly and well though.
