I love the mom and pop vibe here. The egg flower soup is exceptional. I appreciate that they offer a lunch special with so many choices, since I alwsys want it ALL when I have Chinese. The lunch special includes your choice of egg flower or hot and sour soup, and egg roll, your choice of white, brown or fried rice, and then your entree choice. Each is about $15. Idk if they were out of it last time, or if they stopped including hot tea with lunch. It is clean and the staff are...
I placed an order for pickup. Nothing much- just a sweet and sour with rice dish. When I arrived and saw the total amount to be $26 I was shocked to say the least. Just because it's Seattle doesn't mean that a hole in the Wall Chinese restaurant should be charging such an astronomical price for something that doesn't cost much to make. The fact that my card wasn't accepted (Amex) was a blessing in disguise.
Told the owner who was working the counter that I was going through chemotherapy and needed a recommendation on something mild and easy on the stomach. He did a great job picking something out for me, someone who is not an adventurous eater. He chose garlic chicken w/ green beans. Never tried anything like it and I thought it was great! It was very easy on my stomach. 11/10, will be going there all the time while I’m in treatment.
