I placed an order for pickup. Nothing much- just a sweet and sour with rice dish. When I arrived and saw the total amount to be $26 I was shocked to say the least. Just because it's Seattle doesn't mean that a hole in the Wall Chinese restaurant should be charging such an astronomical price for something that doesn't cost much to make. The fact that my card wasn't accepted (Amex) was a blessing in disguise.
Told the owner who was working the counter that I was going through chemotherapy and needed a recommendation on something mild and easy on the stomach. He did a great job picking something out for me, someone who is not an adventurous eater. He chose garlic chicken w/ green beans. Never tried anything like it and I thought it was great! It was very easy on my stomach. 11/10, will be going there all the time while I’m in treatment.
Yummy Cafe is a go-to when I’m craving classic Chinese takeout. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is seriously good — crispy, creamy, and not overly sweet. Portions are generous, service is quick, and everything we tried hit the spot. Would definitely order again.
