About Larb Thai

Larb Thai is a highly recommended restaurant in Seattle known for its authentic and bold Thai flavors. Located along Lake City Way with plenty of parking behind the restaurant, it offers a lively, busy street feel that immerses diners in Thai culture. The ambiance is vibrant, complemented by Thai street-style decor and music, creating a warm and energetic atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, eager to suggest new dishes and ensure a great experience.

The menu features many standout dishes, with the Larb Ped—ground duck with crispy duck skin—being a surprising favorite due to its fresh herbs and crunch. Other popular choices include Tom Zab with tender beef and flavorful broth, and Green Curry, which is noted for its superior taste compared to other places. Krapow with Fried Egg, served with rice and cucumber slices, is a whole meal that many enjoy, especially for its crispy, runny egg topping. While some dishes like Tum Luang Prabang may not be for everyone, most items are praised for their authentic taste and fragrant spices.

Many reviewers highlight the consistent quality of the food, describing it as flavorful, fragrant, and reminiscent of eating in Thailand. The street food items are unique and not commonly found elsewhere in Seattle. Despite the busy environment, service remains fast and efficient, making it a great spot for regular visits. Overall, Larb Thai is considered a gem for those seeking authentic Thai cuisine with a lively atmosphere, and most agree that there is little on the menu that doesn’t impress.
