Ordered the Captains Catch and a strawberry Italian soda. The tempura coating on the seafood is crisp and has a wonderful flavor. The fish portions were flaky and not greasy. I will happily order from them again
Down East is not a fancy place but it is good at being what it is supposed to be. A basic place to get good fried fish and other fried foods. The fryer oil is clean and the food is good.I'm going to suggest a fried snickers bar for those who just cannot get enough sugar elsewhere. I'm sure they could pull it off.

We came here yesterday for the first time and it was so satisfying. I had the spicy chicken teriyaki bento box with vegetable tempura that came with gyoza, rice and salad. I also had a raspberry bubble tea. The bento box was a really good price for the quality and portion; I took half of it home. This will be our new go-to anytime we have a teriyaki or bubble tea craving.
