so I was there playing pool tabs and then I asked for a go cup for the rest of my drink. They got rude and snippy and said oh no we can’t do that. That’s illegal. No it is not. Jay Ansley passed a law that says you can get a go cup for your drinks in Washington state as long as you put it in your trunk or away from the driver and with no straw and a top on it they stopped talking to me. They were rude and I actually showed them a google.gov and they said we don’t believe Google. We don’t believe anything that’s on the Internet. We don’t believe any of that Even the customer sitting next to me was super rude. I like the monkey bar, but as soon as I asked them for something that they didn’t know anything about and would not acknowledge it was rude attack so I love you monkey bar, but your patrons are rude

I recommend coming here because I loved this bar. My friends haven’t been there before. My brother showed up earlier than I did. He’s a little different and quiet. Instantly the bartender and her “boss” said he’s intoxicated and refused to serve him. He didn’t have ANY alcohol before he went there. They just judged him because he was a little bit different. He’s shy and quiet. They were incredibly rude and judgmental. We tried calling them and they hung up on us. I love the layout and the bar its self but they’re rude people. Just because someone has a little bit of different mental standards than the rest, it doesn't make them intoxicated.

I met friends here recently. After the bartender was finished with one of her (25 minute, possibly longer) smoke break(s), we were able to make order food and drinks at the counter. I asked the regulars if we had offended her & they shrugged and mentioned how she was overwhelmed with the 11-ish total in the bar. Each drink order was countered with a sigh & an eye roll. She seemed to treat the regulars the same as us rookies, so there’s something to be said about that. The good part is that the wings, mini corn dogs, and mozzarella sticks were good, when we finally got them. Drinks were okay. The best bartender can make any room wonderful, while a terrible bartender can turn a great place upside down. Thanks for the glaring hate with each of our orders. The green round table edge had duct tape residue that stuck to my shirt, which is a weird stain to bring home.

Some places never change, and that's ok! Haven't been in here in years enjoyed it very much! Relaxed atmosphere no over tones of extreme personal danger, and literally no crackheadery to be seen. Good food nice staff! Burgers are legit!

We’ve been to the Monkey Bar quite a few times and the first 1-2 times we had a great time and friendly service. The last 2-3 times that has not been the case. There is one server who is absolutely unpleasant and flat out rude. In the last couple of interactions, she is only friendly and attentive to the regulars who know her. I am not asking for someone to be over the top nice, but asking what you want, setting it down in front of you with no reply and when you ask for your tab she takes your card, sets the paper to sign down and walks away- it’s unacceptable. I wanted this to be a normal place we want to grab drinks with friends, unfortunately I won’t be coming back.In the service industry having respect and courtesy for your customers is non negotiable.

I've been here a handful of times and I've waited to make a review because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and second or third chances, but there's one waitress here that is shockingly rude. Unfortunately I won't be going back since it seems only the regulars are welcomed when she's there. The other two members of the wait staff that I've seen are VERY nice and I really enjoyed their service.I was hoping the monkey bar could be my new go to, but I'll have to keep searching.
