I was born in Udorn. I got to speak with one of the chefs. He is from a city just north of my own town.
They serve food here the way my mom would make it! It is not Americanized and it is not Bangkok style. Many Thai restaurants are Bangkok style Thai. This is not the same as other parts of Thailand. Each area and province cook and present their food differently.

Sirinya's is northern Thai style food. Near Laos. Nice and HOT! :P

I read some of the negative reviews of this place... they seem to be written by people who have no idea what Thai food is like except for what the serve in the States.

I'm especially speaking of the criticism of sticky rice. Sticky rice is NOT white or jasmine rice. Sticky rice is ACTUALLY sticky. It is served in a bamboo basket. It is NOT white, so if you're looking for WHITE... it may LOOK old to you. It is not. That's what it is supposed to look like. You get a small portion of it because it takes a long time to prep and it is not cheap like white rice. You ball it up in your hands and use it as a scoop to scoop your food in and eat with your hands. Learn what you're criticizing before you criticize it. You may not like it and you're entitled to your opinion, but don't make criticisms about a restaurant who is trying to provide authentic food when you don't know what authentic is.“

“I just love this place. 1st off I must say the ppl are incredibly sweet and charming and I've never felt more hospitality at a restaurant in Spokane. This is the best Thai food I've found since my actual time in Thailand and it's one of my safe places as a non meat eater 😁 I am greatful for the extra veggie option in place of protein in many of the dishes and they are very generous. Today I ordered the Tom Yum soup with "mixed veggies" and I know this is just what I need to kick this nasty cold I have out of my system. Greatful my wifey hooked us up today, and greatful for this bomb food! 👌🏻“

“I went there yesterday and I had an amazing experience. I had the lunch combo and I truly loved the spring rolls, phad Thai and curry. You could tell it was made fresh. 100% recommend them.“
