I can't believe this spot isn't packed every night. Everything here is fantastic! First off, the atmosphere is great. Very comfortable, no loud music, well laid out seating, it's all very tasteful and inviting.
Secondly, the service is excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They are always willing to offer up excellent suggestions and always have a smile.
Finally, the food. Holy ****. To start, they have really great cocktails. All the ones that I have tried have been top tier. But my god. The food is AMAZING. I could eat here every day. The fried chicken is some of the best I've ever had. And the collard greens are BY FAR the best I've ever had. So much depth of flavor, they really are incredible. You can tell that there is a lot of passion that goes into the menu here and I have yet to have anything that was any less than fantastic. I can not speak highly enough about how good the food is here. Like I said before, it is crazy to me that there isn't always a wait here because I can honestly say that this is hands down some of the best food you can get in all of Tacoma.

My marks are 5 star almost completely across the board! 1022's owners and staff are extraordinary people, serving incredible food and drinks. The interior is intimate yet, inviting to groups. Do not make an opinion until you have actually visited. If you base your willingness to try based on how the front of the restaurant looks, you may not think it is worth trying. My wife's and my opinion is that it is a hidden treasure that few know about. We will be enjoying many dinners and drinks at 1022 and bringing family and friends to experience the same. Thank you for your contribution to Tacoma in service, excellent food, and a super-cool staff!

This has become our new regular spot for food and amazing cocktails and mock tails. They frequently have fun specials they broadcast on their Instagram and it always to die for! We have become regulars just because we can’t get enough of the variety, the service, and the entire experience. Gabby is one of the best cocktail makers I’ve ever seen shake a drink up, but her old fashions are literally the best I’ve ever had. 1000% recommendation to come here and try them out, get some tasty sliders, have a fun mocktail, and support women owned business in Tacoma! The baked brie board is tasteful, artfully designed, and breathtaking. The drinks make you feel like you are right at home.
