This place was cute, I went with some girlfriends and the wine we had was really good. My friends got some appetizer meat plate with cold cut, nuts and fruit, and a few other things that they said were good. I had the veggie melt( I am vegan) but I didn't care for it, not the owners fault or anything just wasn't my thing. Other than that we had a great time!

I have been meaning to go to Blue Rose Bar for a while now and Steve and I were so very glad that we did recently. It used to be a cheese shop and restaurant and you can still get that sort of thing here still but some of it's changed and different. We got a wonderful charcuterie board here that we were simply thrilled with! What went on it was arranged by the chef and his choice as to what went on there. We had some wonderful cheeses and and fresh fruit and nuts to accompany it which was just out of this world! We split a wonderful dessert afterwards also! We got some mixed cocktails during our snacking and really enjoyed those as well. I had a great Mule which was just fantastic! Definitely going back! Other menu options looked great but I wouldn't mind getting ahold of one of those charcuterie boards again! Definitely five stars!

If you're on the hunt for Tacoma's newest hotspot, be sure to include Blue Rose on your must-visit list! They offer an array of soups, salads, sandwiches, and mac and cheese. During my recent visit with friends, we tried their lentil and mushroom soup, house salad, and creamy mac-n-cheese. We were all happy with our meal and plan to return for future visits. The cocktail selection is inventive, and I will plan to sample many more from the carefully crafted list. The ambiance is a clean and charming rustic dive-bar vibe, a personal favorite of mine. The staff provided exceptional service, further cementing Blue Rose as my new go-to hangout spot. Whether you're stopping by for a casual drink or dinner, rest assured, you'll be glad that you did.

This was a cute little spot! Everywhere on Pac Ave was packed. We didn't want to bother with McMenamins. We kept going up the hill until we saw this place. So glad we stopped in! The server was a super sweet girl. My Malbec was kind of gross but my friend's old fashioned was good. There's bar seating and tables. They were playing Back to the Future on the TV. Music was good. There was a pool table. It was so chill! Would definitely go back.

That's Tacoma

Thanks Sammy!Chill spot with a Tiny pool table, but newly felted.Good grubbins with a great

Edit: Don't you love when you leave a review and the owner attempts to shame you? Me either. The restaurant was NOT busy. We were the ONLY customers in your drab, freezing cold restaurant. I can dig deeper because my previous review was me trying to be kind. The server was dirty, wearing an oversized dirty shirt. She had no clue how to wait tables. When the owner came to our table we had no idea who he was and we didn't say the food was amazing, he asked how we were and we said fine. Again, not knowing who he was and we hadn't talked to our friends we were with to see how their experience was yet, so we didn't mention it. Like I said, part of this is in us bc we should have known when every restaurant and bar on the strip here were packed and this place was empty, but we wanted to support a local business so we gave it a shot. From the reviews, the owner should realize he has a real issue. Oh well, if he wants to blame customers instead of figuring out his business, well, it's his business. I'm sure this owner will be closing his doors by end of 2024. How do you royally screw up Mac and cheese?

This is a re-review to apologize to the owner and any staff I offended with my previous review that I have now deleted.I didn't review the bar fairly, but instead reviewed from an exaggerated drunken and presumably inaccurate memory about being unhappy with a couple elements... whilst drunk at the time.My sincere apologies. Not cool of me.A fair assessment of the place wouldn't earn it 5 stars in my mind, but different people prefer different elements. I'm confident most people will have a good time and enjoy their food etc., even if it's not totally their vibe.I will give this place another mindful try someday and review accordingly.Again, my apologies for being an unreasonable and inaccurate jerk in my previous review. All the best.

Stopped into the Blue Rose with a couple of other dads from the Tacoma Dads Group. Found the atmosphere to be so inviting for lunch. The owner and staff were inviting and welcoming with great drink selections and amazing food. The jukebox and free pool top off the location. Definitely can't wait to go back with more friends. Thank you Blue Rose.Vegetarian options: Have some good vegan options.Parking: There are lots options around the location from street parking to lots. Depending on the time of day it's free.Kid-friendliness: They have one side that's a Cafe and the other side is a bar. Great for all ages.

I'm in love with this new take in this space- warm and comfortable but still "nice". Delicious, crafted cocktails that are still affordable, cozy ambiance, friendly service and delish Mac n cheese... all the good feels!

Love coming here for their mules! Danny, the owner, is always welcoming and friendly. Their veggie melt is also so good! They also just got a pool table that’s free to play.
