Boathouse 19 Reviews
We were in from Texas with a Texas hockey team. We didn’t make reservations. We showed up with 25 people. We arrived at 1400 local time, so after the lunch rush and well before the dinner rush. The gentleman at the front said that they couldn’t serve us. Understanding that they couldn’t serve a large group we asked if we could’ve seated as individual families. He kept responding with “we can’t serve a large amount of people. Our restaurant is too small for that amount...read full review
Our wait person, Shawna was great!
I have eaten there 3 times in the past year and each time I ask for Shawna. She is the friendliest and best waitress ever, I return every time I’m in Tacoma just to see her. Hope she is still there when I come back this spring. The steamed clams and chowder is the best!

Boathouse 19 is a well-established restaurant in the community since the 80's, popular among diners for its beautiful views of the marina. The chicken with garlic sauce impressed a non-seafood fan, while the prime rib dip was delicious but affected by subpar bread. The restaurant can accommodate larger groups, as seen when a party of 7 enjoyed excellent service and a variety of dishes, including a standout salmon salad. Diners have noted the food is filled with delicious flavor, recommending items like the basic burger, fish with mango salsa, and salmon fettuccine. While the food is tasty and well-prepared, some have mentioned that the prices are on the higher side. Despite some challenges with parking and a high noise level inside, Boathouse 19 remains a family-friendly dining option with a laid-back atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available in good weather, allowing guests to enjoy the surroundings even more. Deep fried cheese curds, served with house-made pepper jelly, and pan-fried oysters have also received praise for their flavor. The spicy seared wild salmon tacos, accompanied by fresh cabbage salsa slaw, are among the best fish tacos many have tasted. Desserts like the triple chocolate brownie sundae and strawberry sorbet round out the dining experience, making Boathouse 19 a must-visit for flavorful food and a pleasant atmosphere.
