Went to dinner for date night. Hadn’t been in a number of years. We were very pleased with the experience. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Steve, was very attentive and friendly. It was his second night on the job. He was excellent! We started with the mozzarella caprese appetizer. It was delicious. For our main courses I had the cioppino and my husband had the filet. Four star prices for two star food. \nCalamari was overcooked. Lobster was overcooked. The rib eye was overcooked. 27$ for a double vodka drink that I’m fairly certain was made with Schmirnoff…. Desserts tasted previously frozen but priced at 12$ each like they were freshly made. Also, not even a good sized piece of cake but almost a sliver of slice. Fettuccine was nothing special either.\nService was ok
This place was an old favorite of mine before it closed years ago. But it has reopened now several years ago and retains it's charms. It is all by itself on the north side of the bay looking back at Tacoma. As such it has the best sunset views in Tacoma, as it is high up on the cliff. The food is first rate, the staff friendly and attentive. The Prawns and Scallop Risotto is great.
