Every time I have stopped in the food and health sign has been marked OKAY. Staff was hard to track down and very little people in restaurant. My server seamed to be having a tough day.

We found sand in the Claims my son broke a tooth. They gave us a 15% discount. But, did not eat any of the Claims. It was dark and dingy. Everything had plastic and hand wipes.

I ordered the crab. It was tasty but there really wasn't very much of it for $40.

Please see my review on Yelp under Vickie B. I have ordered from here several times, but this was an awful experience!!! Visited on 11/26/25. The restaurant was smelly of a bad fishy smell… I had to hold my nose….i should have taken it as a red flag.
Photos are of an $150+ Dungeness crab seafood boil in the garbage!! The crab was overwhelmingly overcooked!! Even after digging out the crab meat (you shouldn’t have to did the crab meat out) it was ddddrrrrryyy and unappetizing ….. with bits of the shell within the meat…yuck!!! The corn on the cobs were over cooked and the potatoes were tasteless.
I will not be spending my hard earned money at this establishment anytime soon, unless they can rectify this matter!
Sorry, Crab King…You earned a F for this failure!

I had an awesome experience at Crab King in Tacoma. The staff was genuinely kind, the portions were generous, and overall I honestly think this place is better than The Crab Pot in Seattle — plus, it’s more affordable for what you get.

I didn’t have time to read the other reviews that led to the 4.2 overall rating, but my personal experience was solidly five stars. What impressed me most was how intentional and intuitive their whole process is. For example, when we sat down, we received two sets of gloves. At first, I was confused and even commented on it because I don’t like waste. But about twenty-five minutes later, as I was plowing through what felt like an endless pot of seafood, the first pair gave out. That’s when I realized just how thoughtful they are — pair one to start, hand wipe one to transition, pair two to finish strong, and a final hand wipe once you’re done. It was surprisingly practical and made perfect sense.

Another detail I really appreciated was their system for take-out. Since the tables get messy with butter, seasoning, and everything else, they don’t set your to-go bag on the table. Instead, they hang it on hooks. Simple, clean, efficient, and honestly just smart.

Overall, this was a great experience — intentional service, great food, practical systems, and fair pricing. Definitely a five-star visit for me. I’ll be back.

This place is underrated🥹
We picked up our online order!

The sauce was just perfect! Not too much (not too oily or salty) and all the seafood seems fresh and the quantity compare to the price, it was honestly 9/10!

I wish they have multi choices for seafood boil option on Uber eat app but we ended up using their link so yes we will def come back here for our seafood boils!

The food was good and priced well. The Cajun sauce was delish. We compared multiple places and this place had the best pricing overall.

I understand seafood is expensive but I feel this place was a little on the higher side and I ordered a Shirley Temple. I haven't had a Shirley Temple in a very long time. It wasn't that good there was like no flavor so I was a bit disappointed.. and didn't get a cherry with it either.. boo..

You get a decent amount of catfish and it's good. The tarter sauce is a little sweet, and dependin on when you go, the parking situation is wild, but I'd go back. The clams in the boil with the garlic sauce were really good.

My husband and I decided to have a date night here. The staff was wonderful and so nice when we entered. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The music choice is appropriate for all and not too loud, where you couldn't hear one another.

We ordered hush puppies and the harbor boil, with medium spice cajun sauce. Hush puppies are my favorite appetizers and they did not disappoint! They are bite sized and full of flavor.

The harbor consisted of shrimp, mussels, snow crab, corn, and potatoes. The seafood was all fresh! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, mussels were tender, and the snow crab was buttery, as if just caught. The portions for everything was large and could've fed 4 people easily with a few more appetizers.

It was definitely worth the price and we left fuller than we had ever been in any seafood place. We recommend for date nights or a fun family dinner experience.
