The Red snapper was lacking flavor. The candied yams were great but the mac n cheese was terrible. Maybe it’s because it was the end of the day but I was given dried up mac & cheese with no sauce just noodles and little to no flavor.

I wanted to like this place so badly but unfortunately I did not. Being from the south (nashville tn) Soul Food is my fave so I was really excited to eat here. The customer service is amazing and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. I got fried chicken wings, catfish, mac and cheese, candied yams and corn bread. The wings taste like old grease with a bit of burn, I did like the size of the wings though. The catfish was okay, the tarter and hot sauce helped it but they were a bit thin. Candied Yams were literally perfect, no complaints. The corn bread was gritty and the Mac was not good at all. My sister and I visited here for the first time a few days ago, and we are both still talking about our experience. We had the fried pork chop dinner and the catfish dinner. Sides were collard greens, Mac n cheese, candied yams, and fried okra. We also ordered fried shrimp and two whole chicken wings. All of the food was amazing, but the stars were definitely the fried porkchops and catfish. Both fried and seasoned to perfection, while still being tender. We are from the south and our expectations going in were that it would be okay, but this is the first place to make me feel like I was back home eating. The sides were all really good as well. Not one complaint from us, and everyone was so nice. We will definitely be going back.

Warm, welcoming staff, great ambiance. Many people had ordered take out, it's a small but cozy space. The red beans and rice are wonderful, the fried okra is perfect, collard greens to die for... The red snapper was excellent! They have an impressive hot sauce selection. I will definitely be back to sample more!

It’s a very small diner and the aromas greet you at the door. We ordered takeout and baaabbyyyy‼️It was absolutely delicious!! The fried catfish was on point with a light cornmeal coating fried perfectly while the fried chicken had that real home cooked taste. The collard greens, mac and cheese, and candied yams all remind me of southern soul food Sunday’s in the south. It’s not food we can eat everyday, but when you’re craving some good AUTHENTIC southern cooking?you won’t be disappointed.
