The food was fantastic. One of the best soul food restaurants I have been to in Washington so far. It was seasoned and cooked really well. I am from the South and I had yet to find a restaurant out here that made food my mom would be proud of until I went to DND. They are pretty pricey but so good.

Delicious. If you want some well seasoned and cooked to perfection home grown soul food, this is it. We got a lot of food too, enough to feed easily 3 people depending on how much you eat, for around $80. Not something we would get often because I want to live longer then age 40 but for a nice treat here and there this is it. Black owned too which is really all I needed to know to show up.

This place is amazing. They had really nice music playing and the staff were really nice. I got the pork chop with hush puppies and red bean rice. The pork chop was super tender and the hushpuppies had a lot of flavor. Definitely order more than you think you'll need
