First timer! bakery & restaurant combo!
Almost left thinking it was closed, We started with pupusas, and I'll admit I came in with high expectations (LA pupusas have me spoiled — they pack them thick over there). These were tasty, no complaints on flavor, but on the thinner side compared to what I'm used to. Good, not amazing.
The real winner was the breakfast plate — fried plantains, beans, and all the classic sides. It looks smaller than it...
Great little place clean and convenient. The pupusas are huge and delicious. Other things on the menu are flavorful as well. They have many options. Definitely recommend El Boquerón for homemade El Salvador food. Don’t forget to get some sweet bread to go!
I visited this place last weekend and was immediately impressed by the warm, attentive service from the staff. I ordered a meat dish that completely won me over! the flavors were bold and authentic, the meat was incredibly tender, and it was cooked to perfection. It's the kind of meal that reminds you why you seek out authentic cuisine in the first place. I'll absolutely be coming back and would highly recommend this dish to anyone visiting for the first time.
