Awful customer service. Paid $85 and was missing four items. No offer to remake, no refund and owner and manager have done nothing. Spent 3 weeks going in and trying to be refunded and ghosted. Food was mediocre. Do not reccemond.

So happy we tried El Boracho! With it being our first time we tried a lot of different items. The most impressive plant based item to me was the queso. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD, and heated up well as leftovers. Jackfruit cochinitas pibil taco: soft flavorful filling with a nice zesty pickled onion garnish Al pastor taco: great texture for tofu, extremely flavorful! Love the fresh fruit garnish. Seitan Barbacoa: juicy and flavorful Barbacoa! Tamarind agua Fresca: okay Escabeche: incredible! Great flavor (pickled veggies in oil) Refried beans: pretty good but I'll try something different next time. Homemade corn tortillas are soft and delicious!

As a vegetarian, I’ve been looking forward to trying this place since they went 100% plant based, but all 4 tacos were pretty bland and the tortillas tasted under cooked. The happy hour mini nachos were the best tasting part of the meal, but were comically small for $4, especially considering the happy hour nachos available elsewhere in Tacoma. I probably won’t be headed back for dinner.

Wow. The service is fast and food is yummy. The vegan nachos taste like regular nachos which is nice. As you know not all vegan food stands up to what you use to eat and love. Very good must try if you havent. Serving size plenty.

We went to this place when it was later in the evening on the suggestion of a friend. The drinks were good from what my friend said and the food was good just the portion was small since I ordered a nachos and it came and basically it to go box for a dine in order. And for the price it was not impressive.

Amazing food!! I loved this place. My boyfriend and I went last night. The service is really fast and the waiter let us try a sample before ordering.It's really nice that you can order anything as a bowl, burrito or taco.The red sauce burrito was delicious. This place is 100% vegan.

I'm vegetarian and my girlfriend is vegan and we love this place. We come here frequently and the service is always impeccable. It's a common takeout dinner meal for us too if we're exhausted, and the burritos are so big we can stretch them out to two meals. Literally every item on the menu is delicious but I'm a huge fan of the Chipotle potato burritos and tacos. Vegan Mexican food is rare and having this option so close to our home is top tier.

Anthony Bourdain once said the worst food he ever had in his life was an unwashed warthog rectum. That's because he never had the opportunity to eat at El Borracho. I used to love the food here. I was still willing to give the vegan menu a shot, because I've had killer vegan mexican food before, but this wasn't it. Overcooked and underseasoned and just plain unfortunate.

This place has SO much potential. The menu items are amazing. Service is amazing. Atmosphere top tier. We ordered a ton because everything sounded so heat, but everything was severely under seasoned. There's not a single speck of salt in any of the food it seems. If you're familiar with cooking and how flavors work, you can have absolutely beautifully put together dishes that fall entirely flat solely based on a lack of salt. Can't taste all those spices and all that flavor with inadequate salt. I see someone else here also wrote the same. If you're in charge of the food here, please PLEASE listen... season! Your guys' food is so incredible and everything about this place is utterly amazing. Gotta get that seasoning on point though.

This is hands down our favorite date night and food spot in Tacoma. Everything is amazing from the margaritas, whiskey sours, nachos and burritos!! FRESH ingredients. Our fav protein add ons are the barbacoa seitan and jackfruit. Omg the queso! Best in the area. Knowledgeable, friendly bartenders. Cozy, date night vibe, artsy, chill, non club environment
