“I've had this place bookmarked and saw that they were part of the Intentionalist's Equity in Action: It’s on Us for September. We definitely wanted to get some other goodies with the free stuff to support a local business. The kind waitress who greeted us and sat us down was very professional and kind. She handed us menus and gave us time to look through the menu as we told her it was our first time stopping by. My boyfriend got the pupusas and horchata, while I got their baleada especial, montuca, and nance. I've never had baleada and nance so I was super excited. We got our drinks first and they were absolutely some of the best we've had, we really enjoyed the nance! After a good amount time, we received our food and you can tell it was made with love as each bite was packed with flavors. The montuca is similar to the tamale but it definitely tasted like sweet corn which was interesting but not bad! The pupusas were delicious and the sauce and salad that they give you is some of the best pairings we've had at any other pupusa place. Now the baleada was absolutely my favorite and I definitely need to come back to get it again cause it was delicious. It had avocado, eggs, refried beans, and cheese which was divided evenly. We had plenty of leftovers to take home and enjoy. Our waitress would check in on us every so often to ensure we were satisfied.
The inside is huge and it is lovely inside. They have plenty of tables and chairs inside and outside. They are also dog friendly outside as well! They do have TVs but one thing my boyfriend did not enjoy was that they were playing news that was showing dead bodies uncensored. He said it was hard to eat while seeing dead bodies on all the screens. I'm also squeamish when it comes to that so I was glad he warned me not to look at the screens. Other than that, it was a very pleasant time and we definitely want to come back to try their other offerings!“
