I called on Tuesday with a very specific order for a gender reveal cake, and it was delivered fresh on Saturday evening. I cannot remember the name of the woman I spoke to on the phone, but she was so lovely. I sent her inspiration photos for the cake and it was executed perfectly!! So impressed with the service, the quality, and the taste of the cake! Would definitely order from Love By The Slice in the future!! Thank you guys so much!

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter which came out perfect! When I picked up the cake I was greeted with amazing customer service and felt the need to try some of the other products. I purchased two yogurt parfaits and a slice of strawberry shortcake, which tasted so good! Thank you for your service ma’am you know have a new customer.

Okay! If I lived close by, I would stop in just to support this lovely team of people at Love by the Slice! I have not had the chance to try their beautiful cakes, but Cassandra is SO hospitable! I was hoping to have a cake delivered to my husband for his birthday at the firehouse and in the end it just didn’t work out. BUT Cassandra, I’m so grateful for your constant contact with me to try and help me make this work! If I’m ever in the area I will be stopping by to support this place. THANK YOU. Just purchased the most delicious cookies and cream parfait and a sweet potato cheesecake! My pregnancy cravings were strong and so I decided to just pop in. The place was so cute and clean! I had honestly thought that they had just opened up with how clean everything was and how attentive every employee was… turns out it is a family owned business who has been in the area for six years! Being a family owned business really is the vibe of their establishment! Everyone was so welcoming and made my frantic morning all the better! I rushed back and ate my snacks at my office and since everything was packaged so securely, I didn’t have to worry about making a mess at all rushing from my car to my building.

Came here for the first time today with my mother, the owner is so sweet, helpful and kind! We got 3 slices of cake, 3 cake truffle boxes, and 3 puddings for $64! Such amazing prices, you definitely get a huge value for your dollar! Everything was absolutely delicious, the cotton candy cake truffles were the best things I’ve ever tried. The puddings were so delicious, and the cakes were so moist and yummy. Their frosting is a super light but thick homemade whipped cream, and it is to die for!! I would definitely recommend trying the rainbow sherbet cake, cotton candy cake truffles, and all of the puddings! I would definitely recommend coming here! 😍

We ordered a few dozen cupcakes for my companies talent launch and they were the best cupcakes ever! Everyone raved about them all day. They’re beautiful looking, they nailed our logo, and they tasted incredible. We plan on using them for all our events! 100/10

We have been on the hunt since moving to Tacoma for an amazing bakery. We have finally found it. We got an assortment of treats and all of them are delicious. We will definetly be coming back for the cake slices and more.

I last minute needed an order of Italian Wedding Cookies and found Love by the Slice online. I was able to place my order online for Cocoon cookies for pick up the very next day. And the cookies were absolutely delicious! Perfect texture and flavor. When I picked up the cookies I couldn’t help but grab a couple cupcakes from the fridge. Everything looked delicious. My friend said the key lime cupcake was one of the tastiest cupcakes she’d ever had! My classic vanilla and chocolate was also yummy! I can’t wait to try more desserts! Pro tip- if using navigation, the entrance is on 11th St.

We were thinking about stopping by ice cream social for a little treat, then saw a family walking in here and got curious because we had assumed it was a catering place.
The good: Incredibly friendly service! I assume we interacted with the owner, and she was the type of sweet lady you want to go out of your way to support. That being said the banana pudding cake was to die for. My boyfriends not even a dessert guy but is plotting on when we can go back and get it next. Im a bit of a health nut and her vegan pay day made me feel like I was missing nothing eggs and butter wise. I will be dreaming about it. We picked up some cake bombs as well, the coconut was fantastic and the chocolate peanut butter tasted like little elevated drumsticks. Fantastic!
The bad: that was not a little treat the way we ran through that bakery case lol, and now I have to go back and learn self restraint I don’t trust myself to have here, it was all too good!

Extremely Disappointed – Not What I Ordered

I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s 19th birthday, and I was really disappointed with what we received. The cake arrived slanted, which made it look unprofessional and not at all what you’d expect for a special occasion.

Even worse, I had clearly requested fresh strawberries in the layers, which was confirmed when I placed the order. When we cut the cake, there were no strawberries — just a basic filling. It felt like they either forgot or just didn’t bother to follow through.

This was a meaningful celebration for our family, and the lack of care and attention to detail was really frustrating. I expected much better for a custom order. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending this bakery.
