This is a good Mexican Restaurant. The service, chips and salsa were exceptional, and my entrees were good. Overall, I had a good dining experience.

There are 2of these restaurants in the area and because we have went to the other I’ve and it was very clean drinks were good we thought this one would be the same. Bit were we mistaken. Right from the get go just opening the door it was filthy and when we got into the restaurant it had a funny smell almost like sewer gas (I was once married to a plumber and I know that smell) and we stood there for awhile no employees around. Hardly any one there. After seating ourselves at the bar I finally went to the back where the cooks were and one guy was there to help the whole place. We ordered a speciality drink and had to ask for the alcohol to be out in it and it wasn’t even a shot. When we received the drinks they were so bad we each asked for a shot of the booze that was supposed to be in there. They still tasted like crap. Then we got chips and salsa and asked for bean dip and they tasted funny so we tried the chips alone and they were stale and the beans were on the side of spoiling. Everything at that particular Matalizan restaurant was horrible. I’d say close the place clean it up get the horrible smell out of there and try again it maybe not. There is another one right down the street that is excellent.

Nachos are amazing. Holy crap. Stephanie was a treat! A+ service and yummy authentic food. This is the OG Mazetlan.
The chicken tiquitos were nasty. They were soggy and had a red sauce like an enchilada sauce but it was not enchilada sauce. It smelled exactly like canned tomato soup. Our waiter was not helpful or friendly. I won't be back for sure

Always a good experience wether your with family or need to relax after work. The bartender (Stephanie)really has great suggestions and makes amazing drinks her margaritas are amazing on top of the exceptional service she provides.

Never have I felt more unwelcome entering a place of business. I attempted to place a togo order in person earlier this week. I arrived around 8:12PM, google said open till 9, and they had a big red OPEN sign lit up in the Window.
Immediately as I pull up I see a man in the window making a shooing motion towards me. I shook my head and proceeded to enter ( again the sign says OPEN)
I’m greeted by the same rude man and in a very rude tone told me no they were closed, and that they closed at 8:30 in about 15 minutes.
So I entered the place of business during hours of operation and was still refused service.
I will not be back and I do not recommend this restaurant
