Ming Palace Reviews
Friendly environment and quick service
Great atmosphere and god! Dim sum was fresh and delicious!
Since moving to the south end where there’s mostly Korean and Vietnamese restaurants it took a bit to find a Chinese restaurant. I grew up in Hawaii and then in South King County and plenty of access to good Chinese food. The Tai Tung in Seattle Chinatown and Hongs in Renton are top notch. I now have Ming’s to save me the drive from Tacoma. The best beef broccoli I’ve had and my new favorite spot.

Ming Palace is a beloved Chinese restaurant that serves authentic Cantonese cuisine. Known for its well-executed dishes and friendly, attentive staff, the restaurant has earned a strong reputation for its delicious food and good service. The beef chow fun is a standout dish, with its characteristic wok hei aroma, while the snow pea leaves are fresh and crispy, and the hot pot of fish, tofu, and eggplant is flavorful and textured. The dim sum is also highly recommended, offering a taste of authentic dishes like beef tendon and mapo tofu that are hard to find at typical Chinese restaurants. Although the restaurant's appearance is a bit run down, with plywood over one window and an entrance through a side door, it remains a favorite for those seeking genuine Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant has announced its planned closure at the end of the month, leaving fans disappointed and hoping for a possible reopening or new location in the future.
