Pao’s donuts are the best in Tacoma, hands down. Cash only donut shop that’s worth getting up for 30 minutes early. They open early but tend to make their batches of yeast donuts a little later in the morning so I always wait for those. Classic glazed raised donuts are my favorite but the make an incredible buttermilk bar and have started carrying mochi donuts. Reminiscent of the donut shops from your past and never disappoints.
THE BEST DONUT. You want a classic, soft and perfectly frosted donut, don’t you! Pao’s is it, they don’t have to hide behind trendy flavors, or overly sweet donuts. They provide a tried and true recipe that you know, if you grew up here. There’s a reason they win Best of South Sound every year!
I’ve been coming here for about 20 years. Hands down, the BEST donuts around! Amazing freshness and taste. This place is CASH ONLY. Go through the drive-thru, get a scone!
