I always look forward to being in Tacoma. Being able to get takeout from Quickie’s makes it that much better. Everything I’ve ordered is excellent; the Mac&Yease, collard greens, the TV dinner, hush puppies and the desserts. It has a cool Rasta vibe inside and the food seems like authentic home cooking. I’ve eaten a plant based diet for quite a few years and been to a variety of vegan places - this is hands down the best.

I love the food here, and all of the various iterations of Makani's restaurants. The meals are hearty, and you get your money's worth here. You'll probably even have enough for left overs the following day. I used to go to Quickie when they were in the U-District over a decade ago, Plum, and their little vegan trear shop on 15th near the old Group Health on Capitol Hill. I'm so glad the family business continues to feed us delicious vegan meals.

Order ahead! It takes like almost an hr to get your food sometimes so if you’re as far as an hr away order ahead first. But I don’t mind because and only because the food is SO GOOD. If it was any short of dang amazing it wouldn’t be worth it and Id just eat somewhere else. Also check the time and day because they have weird hours
