The owner has no integrity and steals from his employees. I would have small amounts of tips stolen and claimed as his. He would shorten my pay a little and say 15 min here or there I wasn’t on the clock. I finally had to quit because a large sum $100s for “spoiled food. Was taken out of my tips I was waiting to be paid. (Which no employee should ever be charged for)(it’s also a tax write off.) I was never notified of any food that even spoiled, nor would I agree to pay for anything without proper documentation and evidence. He refused to pay me my tips from September. Said it was deducted out of my pay. On top of him stealing and lieing he was a terrible person to be around and a worse manager. The menu was never accurate. Food never stocked. Literally all our bar signs say we serve coffee, we never turned on the coffee machine once in the entire 2.5 years I worked there...”joke”
He told me to sell expired products in the fridge before and bread just starting to get slimy with the “it’s got so many preservatives” it’s fine. (Which I would decline) I’d tell customers we’re out.” Or throw the bad bread away, which he would then talk crap to me about throwing away and say I have to pay out of my own pocket for it. He constantly owed everyone money that works for him. Weeks to Months behind payments. He was constantly abusive, miserable and apathetic to everyone. including talking bad about “friends” “family” and “customers” behind their backs. I finally had to quit. I brought as much joy and love to the place as I could. I’ll miss the customers, but couldn’t do it any longer with Dimatrous Winston.

I do wish they has a better tap list than the handwritten labels on the wall that are difficult to read. Minor inconvenience though.

The Rusty Goat in Tacoma has become one of our favorite spots to unwind and enjoy a great selection of beers. Although I haven’t personally tried the food yet, I’ve heard the menu options are delicious, so I’m looking forward to sampling them soon.
The owner is dedicated and serious about making his business a success, but he’s also friendly and engaging, making each visit enjoyable as he shares insights about the various brews on tap.
The atmosphere at The Rusty Goat is one of a kind, with a cool record player adding a nostalgic touch and tables that are perfect for gatherings with friends. If I had one suggestion, it would be to update the old Christmas lights, as they could use an upgrade to better match the otherwise cozy ambiance. Despite this minor detail, The Rusty Goat is a great place to enjoy excellent beer and a welcoming environment. We always look forward to our visits and can’t wait to try the food next!

Where do I begin... first the signage was good. Good placement. Chose here over the devils reef. WRONG choice! The WORST bar I've EVER been to!!! The service was trash. The man taking our order was getting mad at us for placing an order. He was cursing at the other lady working. I kid you not... literally 19 people in that bar. I counted. He was complaining that they're behind on food, out of food, and behind in general. He had a piss poor attitude and made us "the customer" feel like we were inconveniencing him for placing an order. Like TF? You want us to buy stuff. They were out of mostly all of there Japanese bread things that they advertise everywhere. Like what? Waiting for about 15 mins in, beer gone He comes to our table of TWO and says I got good news and bad news. You ordered two pretzels but I only have one, I can replace it with something else. Ready to get outta there we agreed. Mind you I ordered a pretzel and sausage. He came back with my friends pretzel and I got a hotdog. I didn't even get my sausage that I paid for. He didn't offer a refund or anything. I literally was charged double the price for the actual item. The food was barely warm. The bathroom soap I think is watered down. He was complaining the WHOLE time. Like I don't know how this place has a 4.9. I was scammed and this place sucks!! Save your money and time and just go down the block to McMenamins. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I don't know why that poor girl is working there! Don't do it!!
