First off, I recognize that an establishment may just have that one not so great employee so my first criticism should be taken with a grain of salt: the glasses on our table were filthy. It looked like someone had very wet and dirty hands when they were setting the table. I gave them to our server and pulled clean ones off a neighboring table which I inspected and they looked fine so while there may be a bad apple working there it doesn't appear to be their standard. The menu is small and appears mostly very good. We were a party of five and everyone but me loved their food. My cobbler muffin was perfect and the coffee was great...The french toast I had was hands down the worst french toast I've ever had. The bread they used had a weird cornbread-like graininess to it that was unpleasant. The batter, which appeared to be only on one side didn't have any notable flavor to it. The sauce was way too sweet and there wasn't enough cream cheese, or whatever that was, to balance out the sweetness. By the time you get to the hazelnuts I was so turned off by the dish that they didn't add much to the experience. My disappointment was tremendous because the presentation was beautiful. I really wanted to walk into the kitchen, make the cook try it and then watch them make it so I could tell them what they were doing wrong because a french toast is such a hard dish to mess up but it really feels like they dropped the ball every step of the way.Last note, the server was fantastic. She was very passionate about the food she was selling and felt very eager to be helpful every step of the way. From the view to the atmosphere to what she brought to the table energy-wise it is very likely that I will be back. I hope next time will be mind blowing because from most of what I saw today they deserve a second chance.

Waited 45 minutes for filet and lamb. Food came out cold, over done and dry. French onion soup and quiche were enjoyed. Service was very poor. Fingers on drinking surface of glass, never checked on food or satisfaction, had to wave down for check.

The food was amazing and came out in a quick time. But it was the staff that made the experience worth it. Very friendly and attentive while being professional and personable. We celebrated a birthday there but will be headed back again for regular dining soon!

Food was okay. The younger girls on service were nice, but the older blond lady was borderline hostile.

Tables too tall, chairs too short. Food too salty, cocktails too light.

That's Tacoma

If you want to treat yourself and or a love one to brunch, especially around the stadium district this is the restaurant. The food is phenomenal and very well prepared. Highly recommend, it’s one of the best meals we’ve had around the grit city. Just a small warning though, be prepared to drop some $ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but it’s well worth it.. unlike some other spots around the area.Parking: Parking can be tuff to find, but that’s a common problem in this part of town.

My partner and I love this place! We had a beautiful dinner the other night - cassoulet and a pan sautéed trout with the burrata appetizer. We sat on the covered patio and it was lovely. A couple of things we noted were that the fish was not seasoned almost at all - I would look for hollandaise, beurre blanc, or one of the MANY flavorful herbed butters or sauces that make up French cuisine, the list is endless! My fish was sprinkled with parsley and that's it. The cassoulet was very salty. My frisée salad was sandy. It sounds like they are working on their wine list, which was pretty skimpy. We are hoping they are just going through a seasonal transition. We love the atmosphere and Tacoma needs more restaurants like this! We will go back soon.

This place is wonderful— especially on the patio. It’s enclosed and there are blankets on every chair. We both started with espressos and then got a 4 cup French press to share. I got the French onion soup and my friend got salmon Benedict. I would definitely come again and make sure you make a reservation.

Hannah was an absolute delight. She was able to accommodate us when our reservation changed suddenly from 3 to 4, she made us a delicious hibiscus margarita, and was unbelievably attentive. Additionally, the food came out piping hot and delicious, and when she accidentally made an additional blackberry mule, she brought it over for our table to enjoy (which was perfect since we needed an idea for a purple drink for our wedding in a few months). This restaurant has always been a favorite but Hannah and the team took it to new heights. Love this place!
