We celebrated my son’s 21st birthday at Sumo Sushi Grill Tacoma, and it was a great experience! The buffet was fresh and delicious, the staff was friendly, and the robot servers were such a fun surprise. Definitely a memorable place to celebrate. We’ll be back!

Awful. Went here for the first and last time today for my daughters 18th birthday. The buffet part was small and not good. Only being able to order 15 items every 15 minutes for 5 people is an awful idea! Definitely didn't get alot of our items. Waste of money. Should have just gone to trappers.

The staff were all kind, the low rating is really because of how the orders are done. You order by phone and you can only have 15 items per order and each one is timed so you have to wait. On top of that, half the times the food we ordered never showed up and the waitress told us a lot of the times people will take the food from the serving robot that was NOT their food (you have to take the one off the shelf that's lit blue). It was frustrating. Don't get me wrong, it's a great idea but just needs a lot of work.

I really enjoy this place. The pricing for AYCE is one of the best bang for your bucks you can find locally, especially since they have so many options. They have a small open buffet of appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks, freezer of different ice creams and popsicles, and several delicious entree options. You get served by a robot, but there are staff around to help. I've gone here several times and the staff have always been helpful and food quality has been consistent. I do have to point out that the quality of the food isn't the BEST i've experienced, but for the price you pay, it's definitely worth it. I would say the quality of the good is GREAT, but not EXCELLENT. I've never had long wait times except for when i showed up on a Valentines Day (forgetting it was Valentines Day) and the wait-time was more than 2 hours. Other than that, we usually get seated and served very quickly.

David, Lemon and Jessica were so amazing to me and my friends when we visited! David, kindly helped my friend who was in a wheelchair chair get the proper accommodations, we also had a friend who had a shelfish allergy and Jessica and Lemon were right on it! All the wonderful services checked up on us and made she we had a good time. And while we weren't able to eat very much, the food was still exquisite to taste and the service was right on the case! They were very friendly and Jessica friendly scolded us about coming in hungry (which we didnt mind as we did wanna eat more). We all will vist again! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The service was amazing. It started of great when the manager on duty, David, helped my friend enter the restaurant, while they where in a wheelchair, and the entire time, servers came up, payed attention to us, helped my other friend who had specific allergies, and was generally respectful, courteous, and attentive. The experience was truly amazing. Shout-out to Jessica and Lemon

I have nothing but kind words for this establishment. David was incredible, he personally ensured I was comfortable in my wheelchair and took care of me and my friends the entire time we were there. Our main server, Lemon, was so kind and upbeat. She checked in often enough that we never felt neglected, but wasn't overbearing at all. Jessica also helped to take care of us, she was sweet and got us payed out quickly without making us feel rushed. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well, filling up drinks and getting our servers when needed. The food is absolutely incredible, with a wide range of options (including sake, which was an unexpected delight) and a physical menu with all ingredients listed for those who have allergies or other dietary restrictions. Overall, I am so pleased with the service and quality of food, and will absolutely be returning as soon as I can.

I’m gonna start by saying that this place was a little interesting walking in. It is 15 items per table not per person so we showed up with a table of six and there were definitely some confusion there. The food was all delicious. No complaints. There are the hand rolls are a little large, I mean, who the heck is gonna complain about that right. We were there with young kids and adult adults. Everybody was able to find something to eat We didn’t have a lot left over but I did notice on the table. There was a sign that said that if we take anything home, you charged basically 12 bucks a pound. So definitely be aware of that but I understand that they’re trying to eliminate a lot of waste.

Again, the food was absolutely great. Everything we had was delicious And you could tell was definitely prepared fresh. Back

The food is amazing great flavor but the service is slow and I had to leave before I got my full orders I was there for almost 2 hours but the manager was very nice and made up for the wait . I will be coming back !

The food is fantastic but, some of the dessertsate ok. I love the buffet options and the cute robots that serve sushi! Make sure to use the QR code to order your food. I love their crab Rangoons and the salmon and avocado rolls! The sushi is very fresh! Sometimes the robots take awhile to reach you because there's multiple robots. It can get really busy and sometimes there's a wait so that's why it didn't get 5 stars.

It would have been better if the greeters could tell us about the robots' shelf lights indicating the designated food for table. There was some confusion and in some instances, our ordered food didnt make it to us. Other than that. Everything was excellent!
